Very surprised to see stand and open side still for sale . Hoping a lot of people decide to purchase tickets today with the fine weather . We need an atmosphere like the Kilkenny game last year . This is going to be a hell of a tight game and we know what's at stake today Afinestick96 (Wexford) - Posts: 505 - 21/04/2024 09:33:46 2539466 Link 0 |
I've a family member who in the next 5 days has u14 football, rackard league hurling and a u13 soccer match.

But didn't we hand them a sweeper with Jack Dunne playing deep and Martin Sinnott playing centre forward. Yeah right I remember that handpass give away for a point but as someone mentioned actually taught the backs did reasonably well.

Hopefully your lads do well. As you said before it's important for Wexford hurling that your club have good young lads sticking with the hurling right through to adult. Days like today might encourage them to do so.

Correction Kilkenny didn't play with a sweeper they withdrew a forward and then had their 6 as a free man.

But for €100 you can have your name on the Wexford Park Legacy Wall as they look to raise more money to develop the main county ground, which will increasingly become more like a white elephant as our underage investment and development lags behind the rest.

Limerick haven't won a Minor All-Ireland since 1984 and they've been in two All-Ireland finals in the last 15 years (2014 and 2016), they've only won four Munster Minor titles since 1984 (2013, 2014, 2019, and 2020) and they've lost three in the last 15 years (2015, 2016, and 2018). As for U20/U21 level, Limerick have won Munster four times in the last 15 years (2011, 2015, 2017, and 2022) and been Munster runners-up once in that timeframe (2021); they've won two All-Irelands (2015 and 2017) and lost one (2022) in the same period. Your Rackard League team was very strong during the week. Odd that they were put in a group with ourselves and Crossabeg who were div5 last year! I liked the way they linked up well, and their calling for the ball, and encouraging their teammates, was very impressive. Definitely the most vocal underage team I ever saw play. In a good way. Hopefully they stick at it. One of them was telling me you are in div1 this year after winning div2 last year. Our lads only started playing in the 2nd half, they were a bit overawed in the 1st half, most are still u12 this year.

It's very disappointing truth be told. Biggest home game of the year possibly. Anyway we can't force lads to go. Hope the lads on the pitch match Dublins fight, and we should get the win if they do! Good luck to them all!

Most of our u12s had a Rackard League, an u12 hurling game, an u12 football game, an u13 soccer game, and an u12 soccer game, and/or an u11 soccer game all in the last 8 days. The bad weather and an extended soccer season is really getting their fitness levels up!

Might give comfort to some… we haven't lost 3 years in a row to a team in the round robin since it's started. A good start is absolutely vital today. OpenStandWall (Wexford) - Posts: 233 - 21/04/2024 11:29:47 2539495 Link 0 |
This is a gorgeous day lads. You just can't beat the feeling of a championship day. Doylerwex (Wexford) - Posts: 3496 - 21/04/2024 13:14:14 2539518 Link 0 |

Half-forward line struggling, Chin has been cleaning up inside when the ball has gone in but we need him out in the half-forward line. Should be bringing on Conor Mac here if Dublin are going to stick O'Donnell on Chin, he'd keep them honest inside with the threat of the high ball. Donohoe has been struggling at times, has been caught out a few times in possession. Some of Fanning's puck-outs have been poor, have lacked accuracy. We've given them way too much off both our own puck-out and their own puck-out. Think we should move Rory inside too and move Richie out the pitch ElGranSenor (Wexford) - Posts: 426 - 21/04/2024 14:43:20 2539528 Link 0 |
Absolutely livid. Better side again. Doylerwex (Wexford) - Posts: 3496 - 21/04/2024 15:34:28 2539534 Link 0 |
Maybe if Dublin change their colours to black and amber we'd rise our game for them. Should never have drawn that, fucked it away... If I was Rossi I'd be absolutely demented. Inaroundthehouse (Wicklow) - Posts: 13 - 21/04/2024 15:40:00 2539536 Link 0 |
Well that's a kick in the stones and makes any progression this year less achievable (though not impossible obviously). It's unforgivable to be five up in injury-time and still not hold on for victory. Still a mental fragility in there unfortunately. beano (Wexford) - Posts: 1477 - 21/04/2024 15:43:35 2539539 Link 0 |
Sick after that, only Wexford could contrive to concede two goals in added-time like that.

That would break your heart ffs like ChinCanHurl (Wexford) - Posts: 300 - 21/04/2024 15:44:08 2539541 Link 0 |
Some criminal game-management there at the end, they had created one goal chance in the entire 70 minutes and all we had to do was sell out against not conceding a goal ElGranSenor (Wexford) - Posts: 426 - 21/04/2024 15:47:30 2539542 Link 0 |
