Replying To Neveronthefence:  "Why do we bother in Wexford anymore with football"
Well to be fair you went out of your way to set up a second username, post twice and then like your own post.

Taking that amount of effort into consideration it's definitely worth persevering with.

Because its a great game and there are people there who love it. Slaughtneil would probably beat any club in Wexford right now, and Roscommon beat Wexford in my lifetime also.

Seems that defeat to Roscommon won't ever be forgotten!

I'd say there are an awful lot of lads who have been awful sorry for years now that they had that 10th or 12th pint of the night at 3 or 4 a.m., instead of just going to bed to get some rest before the match :)

Presume the players were bitterly disappointed with that performance against Laois. Think they will bring everything in a must win now at the weekend. I think we will scalp them . Anyone hear of any injuries. Leitrim have been without their main scorer Keith Beirne so far this year .

Ah but we have other secret weapons upfront. Whatever the outcome we won't be 'scalped'

Think it will be close, Laois are miles ahead of any other team in the division. Hopefully the same results as when the teams last met.

if its such a great game why is it only strong in between a 1/3rd and a 1/4quarter of the 123rd biggest country in the world? lawn bowles has more players, its the 4th most watched sport on tv here behing rugby soccar and football, lot of irish people are not interested in your "great game"

Because people like you run the GAA and don't promote it properly. It's also not easy to get good at.

Well, if you're going to stoop to that in your football v hurling fixation - what is it about gaelic football that makes you think it's a great game, considering it's only really strong in no more than half of the 123rd biggest country in the world??

Also, I'd love to know your source for your claim that lawn bowls has more players here than hurling, and a bigger TV audience that hurling or other sports like horse racing, golf, Formula 1, or several others I could mention.

Footballs viewing figures are probably plummeting. I've noticed a serious drop off in live attendances at the games I've been to the last few years compared to 20 and 30 years ago.

o right, so its the fault of people who have no interest in hurling for not promoting it!!! ah grand, that is sound logic, that has cleared that up

They should have an interest in it if they are GAA men. The organisation was set up to promote both. Not one or the other.

So if you perceive someone as having no interest in football only hurling its not on and you try to play the victim card but if its vice versa its fair game?
