Replying To Loughduff Lad:  "We do have. Conroy can kick them, as can Lynch. But when you've someone as good as Galligan (7 from 7 on Saturday) you absolutely use him as it's be shooting yourself in teh foot not to. Nonsensical of you to have such a huge issue with this. Drop it."
Don't use Conroy as an example…. he is far too slow and could never be carried to kick frees… obviously Paddy Lynch doesn't take 45s otherwise Galligan wouldn't be sauntering up the field to take them… ironic when you are on here about football nowadays been of such a high standard that very few players can master the basic skill of kicking the ball from the ground….many are struggling to kick it at all…

You asked if any other county player can kick them from the ground. He can. Didn't mention anything else about his overall play, I was simply pointing this out. But you are correct. It's why he doesn't start, and why Galligan takes them as he's on the field. Lynch might take them in time as he builds up. He's still young, does take them on the ground from around 35m out, but maybe needs to build up more strength and confidence for those 45m or so out.

Jeasus you must be pushing on when your harking backs to the 30's and 40's an era I have never mentioned… If the game is so good now why have attendance figures plummeted and I'd say you would count the number of neutral supporters on one hand that are going to county matches at the moment… Anybody with an ounce of common sense realises football is in a terrible state… look at the Ulster final on Sunday… you could hear a pin drop for most of the game….absolutely no atmosphere until the last couple of minutes…they were all probably sound asleep after sitting through such boredom

It's a wonder you even watched the game seen how much of a dislike you have for modern Gaelic Football. I know you only watch the odd game anyway but you are on here every day winding up lads who try to have a discussion about matches. What are you bitter about and do you get therapy from being a WUM?

Yet another idiotic post. The greatest team of all time used Cluxton to take their frees until a better free taker from distance (Rock) came along. You cant be pleased, even when our keeper gives an unbelievable performance you still find something to moan about. Good god would you ever have a read back at some of the stuff you are putting up here, its shocking.

An unbelievable performance but my point is it's another skill of the game gone…. All counties , clubs and all sorts are now at it… It looks very poor for the rest of the players on the field especially forwards when a goalkeeper has to leave his position and do someone else's job..:: I just can't see why my dislike of it causes you such a problem…? Maybe you are in denial..!!!

Well said. There is a pair of the in it alright. So convinced by their righteousness that they always remind me of the Mrs Doyle Mrs Dineen fight scene.

No gripes just honest factual banter…. Probably a bit above your intelligence level…

Aye, sure why not act as if I'm the only one going at the other fella when he goes at our players, he's the ultra negative one. I try to rarely take him on now anyway.

Why don't yourselves add something of merit instead of moaning on what others are doing? A forum is only as good as those adding to it. I was on this forum for a long time but quit it for ages. Came back around the turn of the year as it was practically dead and tried to start a few threads to see where we are at. But the likes of yourselves need to add and engage too. At least I'm trying here... Otherwise we'd be stuck with the tomsmith threads ffs

No righteousness here, but did pull the other lad up on some of his super negativeness. I always tried to give honest posts about what is going on, and what I thought after matches. I don't reply to him as much anymore. But like anything, fell free to ignore a post you don't like. A forum is never going to be exactly the way you want, it would be exceedingly boring if it was. Scroll past if it annoys you so

Anyway, can we get it to the football, and not all the sniping?

Thoughts for Sunday then? Weather looks to be decent. We're playing to a good level, but Fermanagh at Brewster are always tough. I think even though its the harder of the draws we could have got, it's better to get the hard tests. It'll feel Ulster Championship like, so need to tap into that. Keep our discipline, take our scores with a high shot %, and get a goal here or there should see us through here. They've Kelm back fit and are always dangerous if we give them that confidence, so need to start well and don't let them into it. It'll be far more of a battle than last week, so will be good to get tested again.

Bit rich to question people's intelligence when you don't know the difference between a fact and an opinion.

Agree it certainly will also Fermanagh put it up to Tyrone for a good part of their game so need to be on the ball for this one.

You are just moaning when certain things are questioned and it doesn't suit your opinion… you would fit in well with the nodding dogs RTE employs on their sports programs…. When someone gets tetchy over a point made it's usually because it calls it as it is and the likes of you doesn't want to hear the truth….that's fine by me …keep your head firmly buried in the sand…
