Cheers carps. Good win last night. Need to beat Waterford at home next week. We seem to play better away from home against them.

Good win last night we have to back that up next week now, can't have any slip ups in your first two games. If we can win next week we will have momentum. Barrowsider (Carlow) - Posts: 1673 - 28/01/2024 09:50:30 2522580 Link 0 |
Good start for the footballers last night. It's a young team still but progressing nicely. If they keep their belief and discipline they have a chance of promotion. Hopefully they won't take Waterford for granted as no such thing as an easy game. It's about taking each game as it comes. Unusedsub (Carlow) - Posts: 95 - 28/01/2024 10:22:33 2522589 Link 1 |
Great win, last night. Didn't make it down, but from the commentary it seemed Tipperary were getting on top and feared the worst. Then Colm Hulton is sent off and Carlow seemed to dig in and find a second wind. CARPS (Carlow) - Posts: 742 - 28/01/2024 11:14:12 2522603 Link 0 |

Great to have that two points in the bag from last night. Away from home against The Premier is a great start. The Deise next week at home will cause problems and it's important that the team keeps that momentum going. Every team is hard to beat and it will be interesting to see what team is picked. Plenty of options it seems. Seems as if our shooting has improved and that would be great if that continues. Great also to see 3 goals being scored and that will be essential to continue to score them to progress. A nice start ! carlowman (Carlow) - Posts: 1852 - 28/01/2024 14:18:42 2522643 Link 0 |

Does anybody know if Carlow are putting out a New jersey this year? CARPS (Carlow) - Posts: 742 - 30/01/2024 10:42:53 2523247 Link 0 |
My favourite is the previous one. Worn in 2018 I also liked the yellow one we wore against Louth in 2018 Blackbog (Carlow) - Posts: 725 - 30/01/2024 14:25:54 2523320 Link 0 |
Well.done MIKEY Bambrick on being selected on the GAA team of the week for the first round of the league. He is a fine player and has delivered when it matters for the county. carlowman (Carlow) - Posts: 1852 - 30/01/2024 14:40:22 2523322 Link 0 |
Just to also say well done to Mikey Bambrick, hopefully we'll have more players making team of the week throughout the season. In relation to a new county jersey, the oneills website has stated that a new jersey is coming soon Unusedsub (Carlow) - Posts: 95 - 30/01/2024 15:28:13 2523331 Link 0 |
Bambrick was a level above on Saturday. Crowley, Amond, Dunphy all very good too. County board got the New Jersey's but had to send them back as Mount Wolseley hve pulled the sponsorship Carlovian83 (Carlow) - Posts: 8 - 30/01/2024 20:24:59 2523390 Link 0 |
Is this true? I had heard a rumour but thought that's all it was.

If such a rumour is gossip, loose talk or wishful thinking it can be very damaging to both parties. anonymous gossip is dangerous stuff, my understanding is if the sponsorship agreement between both parties was agreed and signed off it becomes a contractual agreement and legally binding. The jerseys would not have been ordered unless the money was there cash in hand, fact. supersub15 (Carlow) - Posts: 3084 - 31/01/2024 12:00:59 2523470 Link 0 |
Best of luck to the footballers tomorrow evening. It would be a terrific start to the league campaign to follow up the Tipp win with another victory. Blackbogger (Carlow) - Posts: 170 - 02/02/2024 17:15:13 2523898 Link 0 |

Just back from the grounds. There was a real sense of "phoney war," tonight. Carlow took the foot of the pedal once they got ahead. Let's be honest, we know the real test is in Portlaoise. Please God, let us finally beat them. Conor Doyle, Ross Dunphy and Aaron Almond were superb tonight. Niall Hickey did well too. And John Phiri is a real talent. Solid performance last night by the footballers, they controlled the game well and upped the tempo when they needed to. They have a great chance of winning in portlaoise next day out. Hopefully the hurlers can sneak a win today too. Kerry seem to be a bit of a bogey team but fingers crossed carlow get off to a winning start.
