Replying To Rockshorecider:  "I worry that Longford have been knocked out a good few weeks now and Longford and paddy Christie have not parted ways yet.

Surely he has to go, and quickly if he's to be replaced by anyone reputable, we've lost 3 years now since Davis left and fallen immeasurably. Time to draw the line and start rebuilding with someone who's actually good."
Once he didn't resign or get the boot the first week after our season finished, then it was always likely he would be staying. Unfortunately, it will be another dismal year in Division 4, but we should all be delighted as he will be going full pelt to do 3 in a row in the O'Byrne Cup against second, third and possibly fourth string teams!

Any great reason for fancying Abbeylara?

Will Daire O Brien be a big loss for Slashers? Will Michael Quinn, Daniel Mimnagh, Paddy Kiernan and Liam Hughes be back for Killoe soon? Will Dromard be fighting relegation down Matt Duffy and Oisin O Toole? Will Granard carry their league form into the Rathcline game?

Paddy Kiernan played in the Leader Cup final.

Mullinalaghta will beat Abbeylara by about 5 points.

Very poor fare. Thought Colmcille were very poor and yet should probably have scored 5 goals. They looked like a team who had been playing a much lower standard of opposition up until now. It's hard to judge Killoe on it but they always looked like they could up it a bit when Colmcille got close. And whatever about bad news with Christie back, no matter who is in charge looking at Declan Reilly being close to the best player on the field at 40 years of age does not bode well for any manager.

Absolute madness. Goes to show there's no ambition from the county board

Yes, as was expected, Christie was confirmed as staying on for next season. Terrible news for all supporters. Killoe didn't get out of first gear tonight, never mind second!! Colmcille were shocking in what was a terrible game. I don't think they scored any points from play. Hard see past Killoe winning it again with a few lads still to come back into that team.

It's the difference between playing in Division 2 all year and playing in Division 1.

Without David Mc Givney I don't see them winning it but definitely capable of taking out a killoe or Clonguish.

David McGivney will be playing, Mullinalaghta have gathered the troops and will be extremely hard stopped. Killoe were only in second gear last night and I would be predicting them both to top their groups and meet in the final.

I get that we don't have much players but lot that go in anyway. Why the need big name not even that great anyway just costing more more money maybe local take but surely someone closer home could take. Christie knows he probably nowhere else that's why stuck with Longford

The scenario in Div 4, if any established players commit is (based upon last year's sequence of matches)
Home matches
Limerick/Wicklow (HOME)
Tipperary (AWAY)
Waterford (HOME)
London (AWAY)
Limerick/Wicklow (AWAY)
Carlow (AWAY)
Wexford.(HOME)

We will surely be outnumbered by Limerick or Wicklow supports for first match, Waterford at home could bring about 75 to Pearse Park. Nothing to play for when Wexford come in last match. Add in a trip to London, it could be a very expensive league campaign.
Are the County Board not interested in promoting football within the county.
With the proposed restructuring of the championship we could be a tier 3 and based on last years results could struggle there.

Maybe they are waiting for the minor team of last year to come through. We need to develop these players and not throw them into the charade above. Yes it is DOOMS day with the news but cannot see any optimism for the year ahead.
