They did earn home advantage but it is understandable why Slashers would see it unfair. Would the dromard player who was sent off have his red card rescinded because the game was not completed technically?

The last time I checked it was Dromard who messed up by accident or on purpose to gain an advantage. So they should be counting their lucky stars that it's only a change of venue Slashers are looking for.

I see that the Relegation final was scheduled for tomorrow. When willthe Dromard/Slashers match be played. Looks like it will be Oct/Nov before Relegation final is played.

Any feedback from Leader Cup Final? Duggan and Carey must have been very good, pity there's no word on county manager, surely that was a game for them to be at?

Delighted for this group to get their hands on some senior silverware. Duggan was outstanding. No one is getting too excited yet, Killoe won the main one as I was kindly reminded on the way out and by my count have at least 7 players to come back into that starting team.

It was an entertaining game from 2 teams that should be at the business end of the championship.
From my count Killoe were missing 4 lads along with Daniel Mimnagh and Paddy Moran who were brought on.
Clonguish were also missing 4 lads along with David Barden, Josh Sorohan and Daniel Carey who were brought on.
It should be an exciting championship in Longford this year.
It will be interesting to see if Granard can push on from the league and make some inroads on the championship.

Hard luck to our lads on Sunday. As predicted Clonguish pushed on and won the Leader Cup so fair play to them. And as I have predicted many times on here (to the usual sniping from the usual sources) Clonguish will push and win the championship and are entering their purple patch now. You could see the talent from the underage factory stepping up and showing they can operate at senior now. They are a significant force and the Duggan-Carey combination will prove a handful for any team. I personally don't think anyone will get near them in the championship.

What happened that one of the div. 2 semi finals didn't get played?

If I was to say nobody will get near a team, that would imply (at a minimum) that nobody would get within 6 points of them. If you genuinely believe that nobody will get within 6 points of Clonguish this year you are delusional.

But don't let that get in the way of you fueling Killoe's underdog status. The current County Champions with a raft of men to come back will rightly be installed as favourites for another title. Check the odds son.

Is this becasue the game was played outside the county it is being replayed?

No. Dromard were reduced to 14 men early in the second half. When the game finished, they won by a point and had 15 men on the field!!

Killoe are favourites this year. Clonguish will be there or thereabouts but Killoe are definitely the team to beat this year again.

Killoe were still without 3 county players on Saturday night along with Daniel Mimmnagh and Paddy Moran only coming on. It is still theirs to lose and not Clonguish's. Mullinalaghta will also have a huge amount to say about who wins, with them apparently having an almost full deck to pick from for this championship.

Thank you for further proving my point that you are only here to play down Killoe and hype up Clonguish.

Killoe were missing Michael Quinn, Liam Hughes, Michael Hughes, Evan Farrelly, James Moran and Larry Moran. Daniel Mimnagh played for the last few minutes and Paddy Moran got the second half. Over half a starting team to come back and all of them are current or have county senior or u20 experience

Add in the McCormacks and Killoe will take some stopping this year.

I worry that Longford have been knocked out a good few weeks now and Longford and paddy Christie have not parted ways yet.

Surely he has to go, and quickly if he's to be replaced by anyone reputable, we've lost 3 years now since Davis left and fallen immeasurably. Time to draw the line and start rebuilding with someone who's actually good.

He isn't going anywhere as the committee are happy to keep him and has also taken over the 20's. Could be another twist in it yet if players aren't happy to go back under him

Surely not, if that is true he must be the greatest negotiator in Ireland.
