Give over now the weather did play ball and the game wasn't played last Tuesday.

Mohill will take that but they got a lot of luck with the goals and good on them. Carrick clearly the better team IMO but finals are there to be won and they failed unfortunately.
Bad move agreeing to have to televised as it many stayed at home which is a pity, worse crowd I've seen for a final.
The ref was so poor on both sides.

Don't the the ref was bad at all. After Ronan Kennedy probably as competent performance as any player on the pitch.

Why would it matter if was raining on Tuesday if the same was on Sunday. Get someone to show you how to look up the weather forecast.

Well done Mohill and while the standard was average it was very exciting.

I wish Mihill well in Connacht.

Who will they be playing?

Not sure why people are commenting on referee who had a good game, fame was exciting, standard of football in leitrim is shocking

I thought McMorrow had a good game let it flow more then I thought he would. Listening to Ronan Kennedys interview after you'd be delighted for him some going to kick the vital scores in three County Finals. I have to say I think it's a disgrace and disrespectful the Junior Final been played in Drumkeerin every team has a right to play a final in Pairc Sean.

Agreed despite my own misgivings i felt McMorrow did a toppin job. Game itself was exciting. Marys aside from keaney had no real scoring threat and that will be their achilles heel going forward. Keith Beirne is either injured or has lost any pace he had as he looked like he couldn't run hard. 2 goals were fortunate but you have to hand it to chick, when the scores need to be got, he'll generally get them and deserved the man of the match. Best of luck to Mohill in Connacht.

the carrick bandwagon has stalled for now, and i see they lost the minor final too but they have so many players coming through the'll rise again no doubt.

Exciting final, low on quality but enjoyable. Mary's crying out for a top inside fwd. Our county players didn't really stand out tbh. Pairc Sean looked great credit to the committee.

Love to know what people thought of the final yesterday. I had St.Mary's tipped we a strong young core. But to be fair Mary's big players were well marshalled. Conor Quinn really stepped up and had Gavin Reynolds in his pocket all day in the second half

November 18 or 19, playing the winners of Roscommon (Boyle or St Brigid's, Sunday 22nd Oct) vs Sligo (Coolera-Strandhill Vs St Molaise Gaels, Sunday 22nd Oct), and that game will be November 11 or 12.

I figured if Mary's win the middle (which they did) and Keith Beirne was restricted to 5 or less points (which he was), Mary's would win comfortably.
Two flucky goals were huge and arrived at the perfect times for Mohill.
I was surprised how deep Keith Beirne and Jordan Reynolds played. Whether this was on purpose or not, it suited Ronan Kennedy, who had a great game.
Mary's will feel luck was against them, but they gave away too many sloppy passes.

Congratulations to Mohill.

McMorrow did quiet well and tried to let the game flow as much as possible giving several advantages to the team fouled and still in possession. On the Junior final I agree it should be played in the county ground, however I was at an underage final in Drumkeerin last Sunday and the pitch was in great condition and also a very good venue for a spectator to view a game. Drumkeerin seemed to have done a lot of work and they now have a lovely all weather pitch behind the goals as you come in. These type of pitches are invaluable to a club now with the weather we experience they have an area where they can train and use through out the year and is invaluable to academy teams and underage teams to harness the basic skills of the game on a surface that will never change. Hats off to the people
Of Drumkeerin who had the fore site to build the all weather pitch. More clubs need to follow suit.

Well said. Drumkeerin is a good pitch and the powers that be are probably afraid of another embarrassment where pairc sean is unplayable Sunday after a game Saturday if heavy rain falls this week. I think it is going to be mostly good this week but these things can change. Junior is always going to be second fiddle to inter and Senior unfortunately, I think its good that its being finished in October and not dragging on until November

Yes I was skeptical about McMorrow too and gave out about it. I'll eat my words now because he done a good job.

Well done Drumkeerin. Look forward to playing there. It's a real shame there isn't better media coverage of our club championships. I was just thinking there should be some journalist or radio show asking the county board why isn't the Junior A final being played in Pairc Sean. The interviews Darren Mulvey of Shannonside done after the game were brilliant and have gone viral. I do think there is a gap there for it. Breifne Early made an attempt at it the past few years. But surely a club championship roundup Sunday evening show on Shannonside that then could be posted onto Facebook etc would get decent views. There wasn't really much hype before this years county final. That being said I think promoting of the game is a national GAA issue not just here in Leitrim.

What team has enough players coming through to compete with Carrick in the next 3 to 5 years

Keith Beirne exceptional footballer and a privelidge to watch. Leitrim need him big time and the county needs to look out for there hero and stop trying to harm him.
