Replying To Viking66:  "Unfortunately for us apart from Kilkenny and Waterford all the other main hurling counties are a good trek away. Cork is the same distance as Dublin. Antrim are even more unlucky!"
In all fairness if you are up around Tara Hill, Gorey or Monaseed it is a pretty long haul to Cork. I do feel Thurles is a far better venue for the vast majority of Limerick and Clare supporters as well

The venue yes. The match no.

So we have to drive to either Kerry or Antrim next week and if we win that a trip to Cork.

Doesn't seem fair

Oh I agree 100% OTM. I'd prefer Thurles myself. And definitely prefer Nowlan Park. I was just pointing out to lads that were making it sound like Cork was as far away as Donegal that it isn't!

Cork might have to drive to Antrim and that's going to be around 100 mile further for them than it would be for us.
If I were you I'd be thankful I wasn't born in Antrim. Their fans have to travel far more miles than any of the rest of us. Most of the better hurling counties are in the South of the country including ourselves.

Exactly, arrogance in its extreme.
For lads complaining about Cork, its a great stadium and pitch, I have never had a great experience in Thurles (except the trip to tip), at the end of the day if we get through we play the losers of Munster, we came third in Leinster, we do not deserve any preference

As i said earlier, concentrate on the games in front of us. Forget where it's going to be played.
Kerry showed a lot of character coming back from been 11 points down to losing by the minimum.
We more than likely will account for Kerry but we must keep our focus. Fully respect the opposition and not to listen to lads who will say that we'll have it handy against the Kingdom.
Remember Westmeath!!!

Is it fanciful to think that we left a Leinster title behind us because we didn't do our job against ether Dublin or Westmeath

Don think it's as simple as that can't be always leaving games behind us we see how we get on next week it's attitude like yours is why we couldn't beat westmeath thinking we are better than we are

If Wexford bring the attitude of the Westmeath match, Kerry could win down in Tralee.

I expect Wexford to bring the right attitide though and win by 8-10 points.

Yeah it's all about attitude. If we go down there thinking we'll have it soft then the going may be tough.
KERRY are not a bad side. I was impressed by their ariel ability and the way they fought like dogs to nearly snatch it at the death.
I think our speed and first touch will be better than theirs and playing at a higher level against better teams will i feel give us a safe passage to the quarter final.
While Kerry have committed good players i cant see them matching the likes of Ryan, Reck, Dee, Rory or Mac. Most important though is for the lads to play with intensity like the Kilkenny game.

I'd like to see us apply the all black attitude to the game next week…performance performance performance… get that right be ruthless and have a bit of momentum going into the quarter final
Very disappointing Leinster final last night. Very little quality on display and Cody showing his lack of class in not seeking out shefflin afterwards.

No, I am in a WhatsApp group with a load of Wexford people and they all said the same

Well as a neutral observer ish, I think they are right. Wexford would have been in it had they performed versus either us or Westmeath.
Only themselves to blame to be realistic.

None of our business really but that lukewarm handshake by Cody and Shefflin was embarrassing. At the end of the game Shefflin stood statue like with arms folded while Cody went straight onto the pitch and shook the hands of all his players. They eventually shook hands but it was obvious they have issues.
I think Cody regards Shefflin as been disloyal and should have committed to the kilkenny backroom team.
Thing is Shefflin is a free agent and can go wherever he likes.
Cody should grow up and not take things to heart.
Anyway as i said none of our business.

Genuine question: why would Henry Shefflin manage Galway?

Tbh if we had started hurling in the Galway game any time around the start of the game instead of the 50th minute we could have won that 1 too. No point crying over spilt milk though.

Would have been and if they performed are terms you could use for any team thing is you perform when you get the chances then make sure your there no point in talking of past games if your good enough you will get the results and that's what we have to realise Feb up beating kk and expectations then is we are at the top table not true lads unfortunately
