Replying To Wexpurebred:  "Its not rocket science samson ! The gaa have pencilled in 1 quarter for pairc ui caoimh and the other for Thurles so that means wexfords quarter will in pairc ui caoimh because cork will not be given home advantage. What I mean by clares territory is they live beside cork. Its easy to know samson you were not at the quarter v clare in pairc. ui caoime a few years ago where clare supporters outnumbered us 5/1."
Yeah i get it now wexpurebred just when you said home advantage. Thought it was official .
You are right about me not been at the clare game in pairc ui caoime, but i did know that we were greatly outnumbered that day.
Thanks for clarification.

You obviously don't do much travelling around Ireland if you think Clare is beside Cork. I live between New Ross and Wexford and its 150 odd kms to Pairc ui Chaoimh. And it's around 140km for someone from Ennis. Further again if you are from West or North Clare.

Please don't try and compare Chin and Kelly. Chin is a great hurler but Kelly is different class again

Have to agree, Kelly is way up there with the greats. Never has a bad game and is crucial to Clare this year.
Chin is massive for Wexford. Has a great presence on the field and shows great leadership.
Kelly sure of an all star.
Chin i feel has now returned to full fitness and will be a thorn in the side of any opponent.
Long way to go yet though.

Tony Kelly is probably the best hurler I've seen in my lifetime. He has everything free scoring from play(some of his scores defy logic)excellent free taker and a leader. Don't know what to say about his sideline at the end of normal time other than it just showed his greatness.
Chinner is the heartbeat of the current Wexford team and his importance to us has been shown through both his absence this year and display v Kilkenny. Hopefully we see both in 2 weeks time

Agree 100% about TK. Best overall hurler I've seen since the early 90s. The excitement and buzz of a DJ Carey coupled with serious energy and workrate. The complete hurler. And like Chin he raises the games of his teammates. A proper leader. Chin would have different strengths to his game. But is certainly as important to us as TK is to Clare. If not even more so. A great player in a different way.

Tony Kelly is off the charts this year.

He is player of the year at the minute, but Clare would have to make the final for him to actually get the award.

If you picked 2 teams one with 15 Kellys and one with 15 Chins. It would be amazing but where would ye all put your money

No viking I don't get out the meaning tape to know that I just know wexford on the east coast and clare is on the west coast. Munster territory is munster territory especially at a hurling match.

I totally agree Tony Kelly is a top class player especially after that line ball yesterday he ticked every box. He really gets up for a limerick clash I think they bring out the best in him. I just think chin is that little bit more consistent he never has a bad game.He may miss a free a few times but by god he really gets back up again and will never give up until the final whistle is blown.Dont get me wrong TK never gives up either but I just think chin has that little extra in the tank when it really matters.

I know what you mean about it being Clare's territory as it's obviously in Munster but how exactly do Clare live beside Cork?! Limerick is in between the two…

If we beat Kerry ( if we don't there will be a lot of knashing of teeth and hair been pulled out plus a massive wave of depression will descend over the whole county) we will face a team who will be hurting severely after losing narrowly to Limerick. They will be like a wounded animal and will be out to get us in Cork, big time.
We have had plenty of time to recover from the knocks and bruises received in the Kilkenny match. Darragh and his management team will be working hard to get the team in a proper mental and physical condition for the game next Saturday and hopefully against Clare the following week.
Intensity will be the keyword for those games.
It's vital that we carry over our recent form and keep it going for the full 70+ minutes.
If we play to our full potential i believe we can make it to a semi final.
Interesting day ahead I'm sure.

Let's get past Kerry first before worrying about Clare, should have learnt our lesson from the Westmeath game. Kerry have some decent hurlers, let's make sure we get the job done on Saturday. Also all the chat about Clare is a disservice to Kerry's efforts this year, they showed plenty of fight in the second half against Antrim.

Anyone know if our game is to be televised anywhere on Saturday?

Sweet Jesus. Are you actually trying to say Chin is better than Tony Kelly? My good god, delusion.

As I said Chin is a great player and will no doubt be a legend in Wexford as one of Wexfords finest. With Kelly you are talking about one of Irelands greatest ever players. He has already solidified himself as Clare's greatest ever player and when he retires he will be talked about like Shefflin, Ring and DJ.

I know people like to support their own but a bit of balance is needed. Chin and Kelly aren't at the same level but that is not a slight against Chin, Kelly is operating out of this stratosphere

Fully agree jedobi. I have said what you have said several times. Absolutely show respect to Kerry. They may be playing at a lower level but we can be very inconsistent. Hopefully we will have learned a lesson from the Westmeath game.
I always said in earlier posts "IF" we beat Kerry, not when we beat Kerry. They have some very good hurlers and will fight to the finish.
I believe our backs will not allow them to score anything like what they chalked up against the glensmen. With Chin,Mac and Rory up front we should be capable of running up a winning total.
However to achieve the above we must give it everything and not take our foot off the gas.
I think Darragh will play the same team as started against Kilkenny and if things go well he can give the likes of Morris, Hearne,
Mcguician, Higgins and pepper a bit of gametime.
I do think we will win but not by as much as some people think.

Im afraid not Davidwex. Not on any Tv channel .
There is no live streaming either. This information is on wexford gaa website.
Cant see too many fans going to Tralee, so most of us will just have to listen to Spratt on the wireless, unfortunately.

I think you'll see Kerry employ a sweeper against us to protect their full back line which was torn to shreds in the first half v Antrim. Stopping ball going into to Rory O'Connor will be crucial to them trying to stop us scoring goals
