I swear the players are throwing the ball not hand passing it skirge7 (UK) - Posts: 254 - 22/08/2021 15:54:27 2373846 Link 6 |
I don't know how this will finish but Limerick seem to be almost toying with Cork. Looking very powerful right now. Cork need to stop fooling around in front of their own goalmouth with these short puck outs. Trump2020 (Galway) - Posts: 2494 - 22/08/2021 16:00:38 2373847 Link 0 |
This Limerick team is up there with the very best, in the top 5 of all time. Ulsterman (Antrim) - Posts: 9817 - 22/08/2021 16:03:24 2373851 Link 0 |
Talk about blitzkrieg, this is one-way stuff so far. Huge effort needed from Cork to even turn this into a game at this stage. Limerick knocking it over from every part of the field. festinog (Galway) - Posts: 3148 - 22/08/2021 16:05:40 2373852 Link 0 |
Air of peak kilkenny about that Limerick 1st half performance. bostonredsox (Wexford) - Posts: 4368 - 22/08/2021 16:09:44 2373854 Link 1 |
Cork getting well beaten at this point. Too many side ways passes, especially in front of goal. Limerick more direct, just pucking the ball. galwayford (Galway) - Posts: 2614 - 22/08/2021 16:10:59 2373855 Link 0 |
Unfortunately going the way I had feared. Cork are 3/4 years behind limerick with conditioning and implementing their tactics/game plan. Disappointing for the neutral again this year. tiobraid (Tipperary) - Posts: 4119 - 22/08/2021 16:14:20 2373856 Link 0 |
There was a bit of a crackdown on it in the league last year, back to being ignored again now. Limerick's first and third goals came from Cian Lynch hand passes that were dubious, particularly the second one. expe (UK) - Posts: 31 - 22/08/2021 16:16:29 2373857 Link 2 |
The rules will surely have to change. 3-18 in a half. Limerick missed another 1-5. skirge7 (UK) - Posts: 254 - 22/08/2021 16:20:47 2373858 Link 2 |
Any doubt now about Limerick being one of the greatest teams?

Yeah, I thought for the Cork goal there was a blatant throw coming out of defence. And that's just one example if numerous possible throws in that half.

Very annoying about this new rule abandoned now after It cost Clare big time. Actually it cost us again Clare. Beaten by 3 and a phantom penalty. We may have gone the direct route. These rule people should be ashamed. It is cheating. Canuck (Waterford) - Posts: 3035 - 22/08/2021 16:27:37 2373863 Link 1 |

The only question is is this the greatest performance in an All Ireland final ever? I'd say so. Certainly greatest first half display Claretandblue (Westmeath) - Posts: 2139 - 22/08/2021 16:30:18 2373865 Link 1 |

Should Limerick be split into 2 or 4? Got that in before the Dubs lol? Ulsterman (Antrim) - Posts: 9817 - 22/08/2021 16:39:06 2373868 Link 0 |
Cork are expending so much energy trying to tippy tappy the ball even as far as the half way line. They might score the odd point or two from it but it's hardly worth the effort. ballydalane (Kilkenny) - Posts: 1256 - 22/08/2021 16:44:33 2373871 Link 1 |
We're witnessing arguably the greatest display of hurling ever, an exhibition and there's lads here whinging about a couple of hand passes!!! Beyond embarrassing Claretandblue (Westmeath) - Posts: 2139 - 22/08/2021 16:45:30 2373872 Link 2 |
At 53 mins Limerick have 11 and 1 save against them. So their scoring rate of shots is on 74% it's just there is no challenges anywhere
