Replying To Shocs07:  "Who cares about pundits. They're only there to make noise between ad breaks.
And Derek has lost a bit of credibility with his referral to a so called 'tap' by Gleeson on big Joe in their championship game"
I like Derek but if he judges the tap that cost Gleeson a place in the All-Ireland final and the slap on Joe then he is missing something big time. Maybe a better fight to get Gleeson into that final would have been more appropriate.

I haven't read one pundit tipping cork,I have read them saying the only way cork can win but not saying they will win.

Make a bold prediction Cork will win more all Ireland's in the next 10 years than Limerick will, enjoy it while you can as the wheel always turns ……"
Far from Limerick supporters needing me to defend them but I do not see any thing wrong with the enthusiasm and delight they are showing for their team. In fact I find it the other way. Counties who have not achieved a lot in terms of success are the greatest begrudgers to those who are coming up. Not saying you are like that. My experience with Cork supporters over the years is the are not like this. Even after they handed us unmerciful beatings. I also don't think the number of All-Ireland alone is not the only measurement of a great team. It is a contributor for sure. We had a great team from '57 to '63 and one All-Ireland to show for it. I would say our team of the 2000s was up there and have non to show for it. Who cares if Cork win more All-Ireland's that Limerick or us in the next 10 years as long it is not beating us and we win the ones they don't. This Limerick team belong up there with any of the great teams irrespective of Sunday or future years.

Ah Paudie, take a chill pill!
We're not too bothered about the last 50 years or the next 10. If that was the case the likes of ourselves, Clare and Waterford would never tog out. We're just happy to enjoy the moment and if we bate ye in the process all the better!
Just remember that Galway have had buckets of great underage teams with little senior success

No one pays attention to that patologicel fella, least of all Limerick folk (just visit their county forum). Yet you fell hook, line and sinker for his bait. Be a bit more wide now, the next time.

Never mind him. Figures can be manipulated. He should not quote figures as he seems to know very little about them, as we have won three All Irelands in the last fifty years. Also, his own county has only won three All Irelands in the past thirty years, the same as Clare and one more than ourselves and Offaly.

The only folk taking "chill pills" will be the limrik crowd after Cork ambush them in the All Ireland Final?

Didn't see that but still think the majority of pundits are just saying what cork need to do to win,not saying they will win.

Interesting listening to Joe Canning on the throw in podcast saying he would play Downey in the HB line as his aerial abilities would be pretty much redundant at 3 with Limerick playing low diagonal balls towards the corners.

You seem to only comment negatively on Limerick. Most Limerick people have nothing but respectful Cork Hurling. There's no real hatred or visceral stuff that there would be with Tipp or at times Clare. So I don't get your constant warbling anti Limerick stuff. If Cork win I ll be the first to congratulate them.

I wish we did have the big players Baire. Unfortunately for Cork, we are probably one of the smallest teams in the country, which is a big problem. If you could combine the Galway squads physicality with our skill and speed, we would be well suited to compete with Limerick. They have all the attributes.

The Cork team that started the semi-final two weeks ago were bigger than Kilkenny's. So name all these counties that have bigger teams?

2 out of 3 ain't bad as Meatloaf once sang. A win tomorrow would be a fantastic treble, for the Leesiders.

He tipped them with a couple of BIG ifs. Saying that they need to do a huge amount right to win. He also said it's possible that they get blown away, if they get dragged into a physical battle.
The best of luck to both teams today. I'm hoping for a competitive game that has me on the edge of my seat.

Hoping for a good game today. I think Cork will need to play well above what we've seen to date. For the majority of the Kilkenny game I think they didn't really perform and whether it was tactics or not they seemed to be lacking a player that would grab the game by the scruff of the neck and let the ball in to Horgan and co.
I think Cork do have a chance like Waterford had last year but I do fear that limerick will be far too powerful for them. I think Cork could very well dominate hurling this decade but I think 2021 is probably too soon for them.
There's one man for limerick that's massively the most important player for them and that's Cian Lynch.
I seen the abuse in 2016 he got from so called limerick supporters on the pitch after Tipp beat them in semple stadium. I've never felt more sorry for any opposition player and I'm delighted he has turned into the player he has since then. I've never seen anything like that before and a lesser man would've packed it in on that moment alone.
As neutral I don't think anyone would begrudge Pat Horgan an all Ireland medal but neither would I begrudge Lynch or Hannon who are pure role models who put up with a lot of BS as young hurlers.
I'll be rooting for Cork today but unfortunately I think limerick will win by 8+
