Replying To Cockney_Cat:  "Awesome display by Limerick in the second half; skill, speed, strength, teamwork, intensity. They steamrolled Tipp.
I can't understand why Sheedy left it until Tipp were 2 points behind late in the second half to try to change things. After 5 minutes, I was thinking there is only one side in this game, winning every challenge, every free ball. After 10 (45 mins), I thought he's got to do something, Tipp were being overwhelmed. Maybe, I don't know, there was no one better to bring on, no plan B. Not taking anything away from Limerick, I have never seen a Tipp team capitulate like this. Yes, they are still in the Championship, but I think the psychological damage done today will take more than this year to heal.

Looking forward, with Limerick and Kilkenny in the semis, awaiting the outcome of the qualifiers and quarter-finals, a few teams are going to have to raise their game, especially if they meet Limerick. That said, I've always said that on the day, any of five or six counties can beat each other.

Again, well done Limerick. And on a personal level, I will be in Kilkenny on the weekend of the semi-finals. My first visit back since Covid started."
I'm not sure it will have the effect you think. These have faced bad times before. They will have to gain confidence from playing the best 35 mins they've ever played too.
Serious question but who would KK want to face in semi final?
Personally I think I'd like to be avoiding gakway in quarter final should they get there.

Replying To Fitzy01:  "Well if you watch Limerick you will see they play it short and long and they will also go lateral and backwards. Diarmuid Byrnes often delivers long direct ball in to the forwards as does Hannon, in Gillane we have one of the best possession winners in the game. If you are just going to drive long aimless 50/50 Balls into the forwards all day you are not going to win matches but I guess you might be entertained while you lose."
Exactly,, who the hell wants to be entertained?

Leaving that aside the 2nd half performance was arguably the best half of hurling we've seen sense peak Cody Kilkenny, Kyle Hayes goal was ridiculous in every positive way while some of the points were superb. Dalo was right tonight, pre game you'd say 5 point defeat for Tipp they can regroup well for the quarter final but the manner of that 2nd half turnaround will be a tough blow to recover from."
1st paragraph was edited out by the mods, just mentioned how Limerick have been involved in a few liberal use of the hurl incidents.

Great Round 2 draw for us...Galway v Waterford and Clare v Cork
Straight away my predictions...Galway and Clare to win."
It's Galway and Clare to advance to the Quarter Finals!

I don't mind a bit of constructive analysis but rubbish like that shouldn't be allowed to be posted.

It's rare that anyone actually analyses a score. For example Kyle Hayes scored a great goal but the back man in me will always look at what we could have done better and I thought limerick exposed tipps Brendan maher on numerous occasions. I really hope Ronan is moved back to his rightful position at. 6 for the rest of his career."
I was glad to see the Sunday Game pick up on Gillanes score to bring us within a point the big high lobbed one. That actually made me jump and shout more than the goals.

Imagine what the final will be like if both teams play their good half form from yesterday at the same time

Just wondering how you knew this draw, when it was only made on Monday, two days later?

Galway need to be very careful. Apart from the '17 AIF, I think, they have lost every championship game they have ever played against the Decies

Wexico rather than getting exercised about Limericks success by putting together a DPP type file of crimes committed ,how about telling us about Wexfords short comings. Tell us why ye play a brand of hurling that guys on scooters could hardly implement. The most energy intensive, ineffective brand of hurling In Ireland. Wexford would be better off copying Limerick rather than being negative of a Monday morning

that's the beauty of guessing a 50/50 likelihood. You've half a chance of being right

Waterford and Clare had already played each other. As a result, I assumed they'd be kept apart for the draw. Perhaps they weren't kept apart (didn't see nor hear the draw...does anyone?), but funnily the draw ended up like that way anyway.

Siege mentality alive and well in Limerick. Just be happy ye have a fantastic team to support..a team that could potentially rival what Kilkenny did.

Well your county man Fergal Horgan told a Wexford man who 'fell' in the Clare to get up and stop his nonsense last Saturday. Fergal was right. Where there are obviously hyped up displays of feigned possibly life changing injuries the culprit should be yellow carded. As Croke might say 'it is not racy of the soil' and if it is one of my club or county is at it he should be booked and told to stop making a show of himself.

Thanks Cockney cat and if we end up meeting KK may the best team win. Well done Saturday evening and enjoy the Semi Final.

That's uncalled for Bon. Those guys were a puck of a ball away from winning both games and put in a savage effort both days. Those are the fine margins at top level sport. The limitations of the game plan we all know but no need for cheap shots

Waterford and Clare were kept apart for the draw. But for some reason Cork and Galway were kept apart too, after already receiving byes to their provincial semi-finals.

Lets be honest ye werent a puck away from beating Clare. Ye scored a goal to bring ye to 3 points down against Clare with the last puck of the game.

Who would KK want face in the semi-final? I really don't know. They can't play Dublin, so that leaves the possibility of Tipp, Clare, Waterford, Cork or Galway. I think whoever gets through to face Kilkenny will be well up for it.
For all I've enjoyed Kilkenny's two games so far, we beat a dogged Wexford after extra-time, and a depleted Dublin side.
That said, with nearly 3 weeks of training before the semi-final, Cody will have them ready.
