Replying To Gaillimh_Abu:  "How many steps did David Dunne take before scoring that goal?"
His shirt was being pulled so if he had an extra step I suppose that's fairer than him diving to the ground and getting the Kilkenny lad sent to the bin.

Replying To Oldtourman:  "I just saw it played back. He might have gone four. It would have been very harsh to blow him back. Incidentally how many yellow cards did Kilkenny players get and do you think any of them should have been red."
Kilkenny certainly fortunate not to see red over the course of that game. They clearly took out Lee Chin who went off injured. Wexford out on their feet in extra time. Their running and short passing game took it's toll. The end of Davy in the South East i'd say.

Looking at replays, max 5 in total.

I thought Eoin Murphy should have walked for taking the legs out from Rory. Just because Rory got a half shot off he got away with it

Alot more confident heading into the qualifiers than last year lad. And hopefully Davy will be back next year if we have a good run......

Wexford had their chances but did not take them. Too many wides. Their legs went in extra time. TJ again orchestrated proceedings and the KK subs especially Walter Walsh made a crucial contribution.

A lot of questionable responses by Cork players when tackled.... roaring and shouting... are they trying to get Limerick players sent off ? The Munster players are not responding like the Kilkenny and Wexford players earlier in the day.

They're not finished yet. Back door still open.

Poor game. Very sloppy. Linerick should be out of sight.

While it was terrific to be back in Croke Park, the 3 person pod I was in was all family members. The nearest person to us was about 5 metres yet we had to keep our masks on and stewerts where quite thick about it. Now I wear glasses, warm air and cold cause fogged glasses. It was very frustrating. But great to be in Croke Park but wont be going again or to any live GAA games with this nonsense.

Have to say whatever follows in the Munster championship, this isn't much of a game. Both Leinster matches were better games.

Well done Limerick, not a great performance but enough to win.Cork and Galway really had me fooled with their league form.

Fair play to Limerick. Fantastic team and well deserved win. I feel this Cork team is coming. Missing a couple of pieces of the jigsaw. I think tactically they had a plan for limerick, but didn't have the personnel to exploit. Maybe more equipped teams will take advantage.
For Cork, I think the teams left in the back door will either make it a short summer, or make the team. I fear the former.

Kilkenny were immense when down to 14 in extra time. It was some game.

The final will be a cracker. Dublin never fear Kilkenny, and Kilkenny dont like that..

The Munster game poor as last week. Felt sorry for Wexford ran out of steam and players. The cats are the cats. Great win for Dublin. The competition will be in the qualifiers this year with the winners battle hardened for the quarters and semi All Ireland finals.

Thanks Badger for your generous comments. I always fear Cork and before we got the two goals tonight I still feared them. The penalty save also had a huge bearing on the game although I thought Conor Boylan should got a penalty late on in the game and the yellow card he got was just plain ridiculous.

Was in a 3 person pod too. Really enjoyed the games but agree about the facemasks. It was ridiculous. It was max 8k in an 80k stadium but at no point was it 8k. And we were way more than 2m from anyone else. Great win for the Dubs though!

You were badly missing Bill Cooper. Hard edge and experience in the middle of the park. Fitzgibbon is one of the best midfielders in the country but doesnt have that presence. Was impressed with your halfback line. Surprisingly so. You are only missing a player or 2 to catch a game by the scruff of the neck to win more all Irelands. The back door is going to be very tough for all of us. Waterford, Galway, Cork, Antrim or Laois, Wexford, and Tipp or Clare. Is it going to be an open draw or Munster v Leinster counties type draw?
