Yeah, Donegal will prevail in this one alright but in the next round if Derry get there tactics right it's bye bye Donegal for 2021 and the delusion will continue into next year. thegadfly (Cavan) - Posts: 299 - 27/06/2021 10:03:24 2353662Link 0

Why didn't Maurice Deegan just give a shout to play the ball there if it wasn't a mark? Baffling decision joeteor (Donegal) - Posts: 259 - 27/06/2021 13:18:36 2353715Link 0

Down are at the same level of Derry. Derry will get hammered as well. Donegal are well ahead of everyone in Ulster The_Fridge (Tyrone) - Posts: 2102 - 27/06/2021 13:42:33 2353718Link 0
The delusion that they are somehow going to challenge the Dubs. Nowhere near it I'm afraid. No disrespect intended. Murphy off. Big talking point. Hy did they even start him him against a poor Down outfit. How did the ref let Brennan take 13 steps to score that goal? Disgraceful refereeing. Declan bonner is very naive sometimes thegadfly (Cavan) - Posts: 299 - 27/06/2021 13:43:13 2353719Link 0
Somebody needs to explain the 4 step rule to ref Maurice Deegan who allowed Jamie Brennan to take "12" for the Donegal goal. He's a poor ref tbh. ponga (Mayo) - Posts: 658 - 27/06/2021 13:43:25 2353720Link 0

The trolls are out in force today, pay no heed to them, jealousy is an awful affliction. Donegal going to win this in 3rd gear, some great scoring from both teams, unreal pointing. Tirchonaill1 (Donegal) - Posts: 3534 - 27/06/2021 13:48:18 2353724Link 0

the standard of refereeing even from the top refs in the country is bad. It must be so frustrating for the players. Every game I watch there are horrendous decisions or non-decisions. at least 5 in the Donegal v Down game so far from a top referee. some really atrocious ones from Joe McQuillan yesterday too in the Limerick v Waterford game. I know it's a difficult job so why are the GAA not putting more in to referee training and monitoring instead of messing with the rules every year and making things more difficult for them. s goldrick (Cavan) - Posts: 5522 - 27/06/2021 13:56:05 2353728Link 0 |

Where does Hugh McFadden play? Permanent sweeper. You play 14 men behind the ball with sweepers and play on counter. Embrace it. Stop pretending it's any other way The_Fridge (Tyrone) - Posts: 2102 - 27/06/2021 14:29:29 2353739Link 0

Donegal have had a lot of scores directly off their own ball today. That's pretty attacking in my book. 6 towards scoring from play and 2-25 is very attack minded. I get your point about counter attacking but all teams do it. It's still attack and only good teams do it well. Point is we have the attacking flair. Hugh McFadden drove up the pitch regularly today and initiated scores. Donegal_abroad (Donegal) - Posts: 1478 - 27/06/2021 14:37:54 2353743Link 1

2-25 not a bad return for a 'defensive' team. Would have given Barry O'Hagan MOTM award, excellent scores from limited possession. Donegal going well but Ulster is wide open .. could be any one from 4-5 counties. Curlew66 (Roscommon) - Posts: 639 - 27/06/2021 15:10:21 2353760Link 0
