Replying To daytona11:  "I think it's more 70/30 or 80/20 in favour of the Dubs. We probably haven't see them hit full throttle yet and they where poor enough in spells v Cavan. Goals were on and they took handy points instead. They will crucify this Mayo defence .

I think in other years there would be a sense of anticipation, a big build up, an air of hope for the under dog. That's just not around this year and I think it's the first match in years of such importance, where the result is a foregone conclusion, that the neutral fans really don't care about."
It makes me smile

Are Leinster Final not significant games and they have been foregone conclusions for the last 10 years with the Dubs a minimum of 10+ each year

Replying To Dubh_linn:  "Formula One is actually classed a team sport consisting of 10 teams.
You did say " no other sport ". Also, GAA is not miles ahead. League games are evidence of that."
Not at all, I think any reasonable person knows what team sports are, it's not some demolition derby around Ballymun we are talking about. Unless the Dubs are putting engines into the robots, then there's no comparison.

Jaysus, if it's not just itching to blame a ref you're whining about the day it's being played. Go way and ***** for yourself will ya.

Reasonable person ? Just pointing out the fact not making anything up.
You can also see exactly the same thing most years in premiership, Bundesliga and La Liga. It's quiet common actually.

Replying To daytona11:  "You know we bet the guts of this Mayo team in 2018 in the championship. I dont think they have improved a hell of a lot either. Relegation from D1 would support that.

I think this could get seriously embarassing for them. Nobody wants to play Dublin in Croke Park at the moment."
Ye beat half a Mayo Team after extra time fantasy boy we were on the road for 5 years while ye typically fell at the first fence - Accurate analogy the lily Whites and Floour bags ..... soft

I never blamed a ref at all. And in 130+ years of All Ireland football finals this seems to be the first Saturday one and the first one under floodlights, and i am excluding replays from that. Why the change? They are reluctant to change anything else. What's your issue with those thoughts of mine? Isn't this a forum for opinions? If you can't handle differing ones to you ya should get out of the parlour before the turnips are boiled.

Replying To AfricanGael:  ""Money does not make Con dance through our defence or Rock kick a pressure free" Rock is a good free taker, so what ? Most counties have a good free taker. It's hardly the greatest skill in the world, bloody hell.

Is "money" a simplistic term for "long term sustained financial investment". Don't try and tell me that that professional coaching, facilities etc etc cannot improve players. And all of this is paid for by a thing we call "money"."
What long term sustained investment was there in the Dublin senior football ahead of them winning the title in 2011? What are these etc, etcs that you are referring to?

Replying To daytona11:  "I'd argue Htaem that both Meath and Kildare aren't far off the top 8 or 10 give the way things have gone this year. We bet Mayo in 2018 in championship and you guys bet us this year.

Doesn't matter. As ive said the media and some deluded posters in here will tell us this game will be close and its all to play for etc when in fact the outcome is a forgone conclusion."
Are you for real if Jack O Connor makes anything out of the flour bags he should be draped in White and Elected the next pope .......

You said they have become the centre of attention So your insinuation is that they are not doing their job properly.

I never said they weren't doing their job properly, don't be putting words in my mouth like burnt sprouts. What I said was some may, just may enjoy the limelight a bit too much, and should be much more in the background, they aren't there to be seen or heard from even. My point is we shouldn't know who a ref is during the course of a game. I do boil turnips yes, whatever you mean by that I don't know. We aren't all getting meals on wheels.
