What long term sustained investment was there in the Dublin senior football ahead of them winning the title in 2011? What are these etc, etcs that you are referring to?"

A Cavan person not knowing what "boxty is" is the equivalent of a Dub not knowing what coddle or a"one and one"is. Now I'm off to have a "hang sangwich".

I don't know where Tonguey is from but I doubt you do either. I see many posts that I would have suspicion on but I don't accuse them of being from Dubin altho their views might seem like they are. You are out of order.

Over 38-40 games in a league season you'd expect teams to be beaten on occasion by minnows, as it's a league, not a knockout championship, and teams will field depleted starting XIs in a league on occasion. Have Dublin even played 40 championship games to win a 5 in a row over 5 season? Again, it's a false comparison. The point is that in sport, teams or individuals dominating for a period is nothing new.

They are towns in kerry, not Cavan. Sorry if it's confusing for you.

There was an oul dolphin from Kerry called Fungi
Who morphed into a chap who called himself `Tonguey'
So he went online
Because he liked to opine
About the dirty Dubs and all their money.

Oh I'll write a poem too.

There was a person called avonali
Who was a dose
He was from Dublin
And he has many usernames
He posted under them
And pretended they were different people
But it was him with many different accounts
He was a silly billy

There was an ould dub called avonali who pretended his family were from kerry, but he couldn't fool myself or traleegerry so he left our Forum in a hurry.

He'd visit our forum for fun but got insulted when I called him a hun, he doesn't like us talking about the dubs money, in fact he doesn't find it 1 bit funny so he's resigned to write sad poems about poor dead fungie.

Seeing as everyone is writing poems i'll write a seasonal one

I don't like Roscommon,
I don't like Dublin,
I don't like parsnips,
I like how we are all into the football,
I don't like the funding system in place in Croke Park,
I don' like the forward mark.
But I like you all in your own special way.

I very much doubt Tonguey is from Cavan after Boxty-gate, but said I'd defend his/her honour regardless.

They came in their droves as our houses were cheap
Him in a beamer, her an SUV Jeep
The slagged our love of 'bogball' and anything gaah
Much preferring the pool, bayern or barca

Now fortunes have shifted as money's been gifted
Buzzin for the half dozen they say
And to top it all off, they've moved the 'kickoff'
A Saturday evening throw-in they'll play.

They'll send Mayo home to plan for next year
But a mouse will make more of a cheer
For come Sunday aft-noon, as Mayo hearts bleed
Jacks' focus will be United vs Leeds.

;)

There was an moany oul farmer from Killflynn
Who was vexed about the state Kerry football was in,
He'd whinge and he'd moan
Till the cows came home
Begrudgery was his besetting sin.

I just want to clarify that boxty is the national dish of Leitrim. Cavan and Longford have inferior product.
