Re subject of thread, Limerick most likely to win but like every neutral In the country I'll be cheering for Waterford. I'll be as happy as any blaa myself if they do! Anyway it's great to have 2 teams in the final who have not had many All Irelands to celebrate."
Thanks PS. If Waterford beat us, and they well might we will be disappointed but we will certainly not begrudge them their win and I know most Galway supporters felt the same after '18. I am old enough to remember the drawn and replayed Finals of '59 and that was a fine Waterford team.

T.Morrissey is talking about bringing the Liam McCarthy Cup home and the ball isn't even thrown in yet!! Terrible arrogance.

Agree all 3 counts although wouldn't be unhappy to see Limerick win another one. When you arent Tipp ,Cork or Kilkenny I think you need to make the most of it when you have a good generation of players. The current Galway team should have won more than 1 in the last 5 or 6 years too although with the underage success theres been the last 20 years and the restructuring of the Championship I think Galway will gradually start becoming a part of a big 4 in hurling.

Unfortunately I can't this time because I would like to see the underdogs Waterford win...they have waited long enough for their Glory!

In 2008 we were nervous you could sense it all over the place going up again that Kilkenny machine. In 2017 there was a kind of giddy nervousness again. On both occasions we got pushed around also. I sense a difference this time, Waterford know they are playing the best team in the land and are not talking about luck or the Gods helping them. Neither are the supporters. Each player and sub knows their job and won't be pushed around. I think Limerick will need to bring their A game and that may happen. We will see, if good enough we will win. If not kudos to Limerick and recognition for where they are.

In fairness Tom Morrissey was talking about either teams. Probably asked a loaded question which common practice from some journalist and presenters.

A fantastic all Ireland to look forward to,,, two téams who between them have won one all Ireland in the past several decades,, but seeing as that all Ireland happened to arrive 2 years ago for limerick,, I'll root for waterford lol,, (avd I think they'll do it too)

Limericks semi final performance against us was overrated imo. We made loads of mistakes, dropping balls,,, puck outs,, very poor passes,, avd we lost Mannion and limerick might have had a man sent off,,, and we still kept it competitive til the dying minutes.

To be fair Galway never looked like winning. Only for Joe's frees and sidelines, plus the goalies saves you'd have been beaten fairly well

Galway have lost twice this year, Limerick have not lost this year.Galway have lost to Limerick twice in the last two years
one in the All-Ireland in 2018 and the other in the semi-final this year, the results do not lie. Limerick have also won two
league titles in the last two years.

Ya i agree. Alot of these players know each other from underage and there wasn't much between them. Not being arrogant, if limerick are 100% tuned in they will win. Anything less than that and it's anyone's game. I'd never begrudge Waterford an All Ireland, long overdue considering all the class hurlers they have produced. Thank god it's not another boring cork/tipp/kk final

True but I stand by my post.
I thought ye guys would hammer us tbh but I ended the game thinking that it was a missed opportunity.

Waterford were immense in the 2nd half v kilkenny,, another performance like that and I don't see why they can't beat ye.

Not worth replying to that poster. That was a particularly poor trolling effort by the Galway girl.

This was Tom's quote....

"Whether ourselves or Waterford win, I think it will be hugely disappointing if you couldn't bring the trophy home with you," he said.
