So that makes it all right. His offence was serious enough to earn a red card.

It was yellow card worthy. not red. again very different when its one person and not multiple players and coaches like in the GAA incident

I don't condone what happened in the Mountbellew game. They are amateurs though. I have seen abuse thrown at refs in Rugby matches, by pros too.

Of course incidents have occured in rugby by pros. never have said that hasnt happened
does being amateur mean you can get away with abusing officials in your eyes?

So because you are professional athlete you should be respectful of officials more than amateurs?
Think respect of officials should be the same regardless of if you are paid to play a sport and a group of players and coaches hounding officials is far worse than 1 player

Haven't watched Late Late in years and from what I hear from last nights show they lived up to their usual standard with the voting of their judges. Not into Eurovision either but the people's vote won out.

So RTE will show a game of rugby between the ladies of wales and Italy but wont show the league finals of our national games. RTE has been a disgrace in its coverage of the GAA its time to make a change

Its not an anti-GAA agenda but we need a channel for the GAA, men and women.
Let RTE show what ever they like.

What are you on about? TG4 , which, though separate, is part of the RTE stable, showed the hurling final last night and is showing the Division 1 and Division 2 finals today.

Next I suppose you'll say " Irish language, 12 years in school but cant understand it" or that you're against it. Well that's your problem. I went through that too, took up seriously learning the language again during the lockdown and would say I understand 96% of the commentary now , just the odd phrase catches me out. Everything is possible if you put your mind to it and stop being an armchair critic.

What are you raving about? This is a GAA forum not a Irish language forum. I don't know why you are talking about the Irish language but fair play to you for learning it. Thank God for TG4 showing the finals.

Not an apologist for RTE but I heard one of their reps last all the gaa coverage they do and it was impressive. I definitely underestimated it probably because I'm only really tuned into my own county and the big games.

Probably the main issue is the size of the gaa program of games across both codes, all divisions, colleges, club etc. I don't think it is realistic for one channel to cover all. I think the gaa need their own streaming service for games not covered by TV.

The only one raving here is you. TG4 is part of RTE. It would be crazy for it to be covered on another RTE channel along with TG4. As long as it is being shown on one of the 3 channels that RTE is responsible for what is the problem?

It's not a part of RTÉ and hasn't been for some time.

Do RTE have the rights for all the league finals?
They are contractually obliged to show these rugby games...
