I want us to perform Shanagher is too good a player just to get 10 minutes they have to go with Aidan McCarthy now if he remains that constant on the frees we have a good chance

Whoever wins it this year it will be the 1st time someone has done so after losing twice. Limerick won it in 2018 after a loss and a draw. Think a couple other teams have done the same since the backdoor came in. Unless you count the 1st Clare Offaly game as a defeat for Offaly in 1998, in which case they are the only county to have won it after losing twice.

Hats off to both teams. It will be a great final but I must admit regardless of what happens i am proud of our boys they have put the pride back into the cork shirt. Fair play to pat Ryan he has got the boys and the fans onside and yesterdays game was brilliant. Clare will be a very tough nut to crack but I think/hope we will do it please god as we have suffered long enough now

I totally wrote Cork off at the start of the championship and they made me eat my words,, they might do it again in 2 weeks as I strongly think clare will win it.
Cork are a surprise package this year, while clare have been knocking on the door for the last 3 seasons. Clare will be delighted they're not playing limerick, they'll probably be underdogs which is a plus, and Cork might struggle to put two awesome performances together.

As a limerickman not the final I'd hoped for obviously but both are there on merit . For me its a hard one to call .looking at the 2 management teams it's my own opinion that Cork seem to have more on the line than clare .I think clare haven't utilised their strengths enough and are slow to change tack.
withstanding that they are still in the final and will be dangerous opposition for cork.
Like yesterday's game it takes on a life of its own and it's like a Munster final type game due to familiarity and rivalry .Cork were impressive yesterday ,their accuracy and gameplan was very astute.
On balance I think Cork may shade it but it's all really on the day and I wouldn't be too surprised if clare win.
We are lucky with the memories we get from winning at the highest level. For supporters from limerick these have been the greatest times we've ever had an owe a huge debt of gratitude to the team and coaches.
In 2 weeks time it will be the turn of cork or clare to experience that feeling.hopefully it's another thriller.

You know by now how I feel about outside managers but exclude the two McCarthy's from that. Why? They did it for the love of the game and wanted to improve Waterford hurling. They did that. Not the money and expenses. It will be forever shameful what some of our big name players did to Justin in 2008. He would have still got us to that final and maybe we would not have taking such a hammering. He turned Brick into a hurler and others how to hold a hurley.

It's a tough game to predict. Logic would suggest that Cork will win as if both teams play like they did in semi Clare will be blown out of it but no game is ever the same.
We have beaten Cork the last 3 times we have played and that could be a positive or negative. The hype will be ridiculous in Cork over the next 2 weeks. It will be bad enough here too.
Really refreshing to have a new winner this year. 1 team who hasn't won it in 19 years and 1 team that hasn't won it in 11. I can't wait. There is going to be war for tickets.

Congratulations to Cork and Clare this has the makings of a classic final.
Even though Limerick are not in it, as a hurling man I'm actually still getting excited by it. At the moment I can't figure out who will win it. Both teams have a great chance I think.
As regards Clare, I know they have been a little below the standards they have set for themselves recently, but we know well, what they are capable of bringing to the biggest days, when it really counts. I honestly believe that the All-Ireland final may be the first time in about three years that Clare will have everyone fully fit and raring to go. Brian Lohan may finally have jinked in his strongest team (I couldn't understand him not picking David Reidy earlier this year). Tony Kelly has looked like he is getting sharper every game he plays and at some point (why not the All Ireland Final) he will deliver one of those vintage Tony Kelly performances and if he does Cork would want to watch out. Shane O'Donnell is in hurler of the year from and Ryan Taylor is a massive addition to the team. Clare are capable of putting up big scores and going toe to toe with anyone.
As regards Cork, what can we say but they are flying it. I haven't been as impressed with a performance from an opposition team against Limerick, since Clare in the 2022 Munster Final. Their forward 6 are unbelievable , fast and skilful, and I feel they will cause the Clare full back line problems. As long as I can remember Cork always had marquee forwards, however I always felt Cork would not win an All Ireland with Damien Cahalane as fullback. The Downey's have shored up the Cork rear-guard no end.
Best of Luck to both teams and their supporters, enjoy the build up and the madness of sourcing tickets etc.

As well, both teams have astute managers who will have analyzed and will plan their strategies. Ryan's ploy of isolating Kyle Hayes and taking him out of the game, was extremely cunning, whilst Lohan will always get the best out of his team. Not many people are predicting outcome of this one, and maybe just a point or 2 in it!
