Replying To theboys:  "Wasn't at any games this weekend I was away!!! From talking to lads,Conor Mahoney from barntown was very good!! Kennedy for Anne's had a great game!!! From lads that where in Ross said Richie kehoe was outstanding for Faythe Harriers and Conal flood seemed to be back to his best for Cloughbawn!!! Paul Hearne and Conor Hearne for shels!!!"
Great to hear Conall Flood is back flying think he could really offer Wexford something next year if he is back fully fit. Conor Mahoney is a good young prospect hopefully his good form continues over the season

Hopefully Conor will keep the gym work up now. Great potential at intercounty level.

To be honest I think we'd have beaten shells if Richie was fit

Sadly I don't think the modern intercounty player lifestyle suits Conall Flood. He's a drummer in a band. Also the knee he injured years ago still isn't 100%. Talent to burn though, and always had.

Unbelievable to think Ritchie still doing the business in senior hurling at 38, I Know it's not very very old but he is some bit of stuff.

I think Richie is an unbelievable reader of the game brilliant in the air might not be the fastest but not slow either, podge is the danger man for oylegate, when he hurls well oylegate hurl well and usually win!!! Big compliment to Richie if the harriers are still relying on him to take down the oppositions main men at 38 years of age!!!! Great hurler, maybe the harriers would have 2 wins now if he was playing the first game, hard to see teams getting 4 goals with him on the edge of the square!!! Well done to Conal flood on hurler of the week!!! 2-5 some scoring, what's goin on with the Rapp's, obviously jippo a big loss but they look to be Goin poorly at the minute????

It's fair to say his best days are behind him but he's still doing the business at club level, and still one of the better defenders in our championship.

I'd consider him a Wexford legend to be honest. He came along at a really bad time but rarely had a bad game himself even when we were hammered. We'll miss him a lot when he's gone.

Any 38 year old who has had proper training for 2+ decades should still be in good enough condition to hurl at club level in any county. Especially with a good diet and lifestyle off the field.
If you are comparing him to an inter county hurler that he was then yes his best days are behind him.
I am saying this having not seen the match, its just a general point that younger lads are much better at looking after their general fitness and health than my 50+ age grouping are and it will stand to them I feel.

Tbf I thought he had a poor first half but was best player on the pitch in the second half. Only back from injury so that probably explains why he started slowly.Strange game in that most players seemed to hurl in moments rather than consistently well over the hour.

Great shooting by Conal Flood for Cloughbawn alright but did anyone else notice the size of the bas on his hurl from the highlights?!?!?! Not just him but they are getting bigger every year at club level especially.... lot of them are the size of goalkeepers hurls from a few years ago and makes striking a lot easier...

Was up there last night with our u12s. Hes in the gym most nights trying to build up strength, particularly to support the knee. He's got unbelievable skill.

Yeah, was signalled months ago how that would be case. Apparently the Fleadh organisers specifically asked for it on the Bank Holiday Monday as part of the Fleadh fringe events. 'Come see Lee Chin play for his home club in his home town' sort of thing.

Won't be any matches at all on the main weekend of the Fleadh, though (Friday August 9 to Sunday August 11).

It will be a problem. Clonard church carpark being used for the fleadh already and the park are allowing people to park in there for mass

Yes, Wexford park, I'm sure with the Fleadh kicking off and events planned for that evening getting into Wexford town could be a nightmare
