I've noticed a lot of clubs including ours struggling to get players out for games.
Keep hearing the same thing, sure we're not out until July, sure il keep playing soccer, I'll come back when it's over etc etc
Players heading away, players still booking holidays I the middle of club championships despite the entire bejng changed to accomodate the club player.
And I know for a fact a lot of clubs are seriously worried about the move to summer soccer particularly wexford twon clubs and a few others.
I'm not sure the radical changes we've made have been worth it imho

There are always a few, but surely a large majority of your clubs players don't book holidays during the championship? The changes that were made were to facilitate this majority.

My understanding of it is that the Wexford League (both adult & schoolboys), and the vast majority of other Leagues outside Dublin too, remain vehemently opposed to Summer Soccer - but that as things stand, they don't have a choice in it.
Seems that the vote in favour of Summer Soccer, which was taken at their General Assembly in December (I presume their equivalent of GAA Congress), is binding on all leagues, whether they like it or not. I don't know how voting power for such things works in the FAI, but apparently it was a decision led mainly if not wholly by the various Dublin leagues.
In my own area, I've no doubt the soccer club would be the one to hugely suffer, especially at underage level. In towns in the county, GAA could suffer. There's already a town club who complained to County Board about having championship fixtures on Sundays, because so many of their players want to play soccer instead.
I also believe the Wexford League and others continue to fight against the change to Summer Soccer. I don't know how true this is, but someone involved with the local soccer club here has told me there's been meetings between Leagues where they've even discussed the nuclear option of leaving the FAI, and either forming their own association or looking to join the IFA instead (by the way, that's the Northern Ireland Football Association - not the organisation for farmers!)

Yeah that's my understanding but I hadn't heard about what you mentioned in the last paragraph.
The thing is I would have thought the same within our club that the soccer club would have suffered hugely compared to the GAA club but now I'm not so sure if I'm being honest.
