Talking to someone from Bunclody was saying I think its Billy Kelly in Australia while doesn't seem like Martin O'Connor will be home from Germany any time soon.

They would've been without Mahon and Farrell in that game too. They have been there or thereabouts the last couple of seasons.

Any reports on yesterdays premier hurling final? Looked like a good game, following on twitter. Pity the timing, if they had of had it on later they could of streamed it? Bit of promotion for the game and build up towards championship .

I'd Imagine there was an element of shadow boxing. And less tactics. Would make for a more exciting game!

Round 1 championship fixtures issued yesterday evening, covering three scenarios:

1 - Senior footballers lose to Meath on Saturday - everything starts on weekend of Friday June 30 to Sunday July 2

2 - Footballers beat Meath but lose their semi-final on June 25 - most things start the weekend of June 30 to July 2, but matches involving clubs of members of the senior football panel become midweek fixtures on the following Tuesday/Wednesday

3 - Footballers reach Tailteann Cup Final (to be played July 15) - everything goes back to the following weekend, of Friday July 21 to Sunday July 23.

We could be in a spot of bother to finish off the club championships in time if Scenario 3 comes to pass (Although not wishing any ill-will on our footballers, it's just that our club championships must be very long by national standards and the fact that we're a dual county).

Seen on the transfers lists that Richie Lawlor is heading over to Boston, don't know if he'll make it back for the knockout stages if the harriers get out of the group.

Wod he be sharp enough and in tune with his teammates even if he did get back?

And why wouldn't he. Spent a couple of summers in New York and Boston in the 90's, best experience ever.
Huge loss for the Harriers though.

Replying To WexMurph:  "Senior - One of the groups looks very tough and I would have St martins and Gorey to top 2 and any of the harriers, Anne's, oylegate and Glynn for the other two quarter final spots. In the other group Shels and Ferns and depending on what rapps team turn up they should make the knockout stages. Any of rathnure crossabeg or oulart could take the other spot.

Intermediate- Alley or clouhbawn but would agree that a new Ross district team horeswood maybe fethard could go close

Intermediate A- liam mellows"
In fairness to the Rapps they've made 5 of the last 6 semi finals so they are consistent, my worry for them is their age profile, seems to be the same lads every year, Oisin Pepper and Larkin in goal probably the only young players to break through.
