No. Glen can appeal to the CAC and then on to the DRA. I think the GAA have to sanction a replay at the very least as there is precedent there - Laois v Carlow, Armagh v Laois 2006 etc. Kilmacud will then have the right to appeal that decision or forego their win. I hear a lot of the stoic ex inter county footballers say it would be tainted if a replay was awarded but the reality is you probably only get one chance to win a club football all ireland and I for one would laugh at somebody suggesting i take the moral highground when i've trained my backside all year to get here to win with friends and family. Glen are not trying to sneak a win through the backdoor or the boardroom - the rules have clearly been breached and the extra man was actively involved in the last play. Throw in the fact that i believe Glen asked for the 45 to be retaken and were not listened too and they have every right to be aggrieved and seek justice through the rules. Sure if there's a stop clock, then there's no need for extra minutes to be added. Stop the game and the clock when the substitutions are being made and restart when they're done. A lot of people have been advocating for the clock for a long time. I do think it's needed, but there is one issue with it which I see in the ladies game, which needs resolution. When teams know exactly how much time is left, the winning team can easily run down the last minute. It can also encourage an even greater level of cynicism. The last minute of the Kilkerrin vs Mourneabbey All-Ireland club final from a few years ago was a good example. Kilkerrin were a point down with less than a minute left. They needed to get the ball up the pitch, but Mournabbey fouled them. By the time the last free was taken in midfield the clock had run out. It was one scenario where in the current men's format, the ref would have kept playing as Kilkerrin attacked. Good idea, or maybe if there's a foul and there's less than 30 seconds to go, reset the clock back to 30 at the request of the team fouled against. Check the rules Yank, forfeit, replay or fine and fine would have been a disgrace. Fair play to the GAA for standing by it's own rules , albeit later than expected.
