Yeah, but with about 22 hours between the games, you can go to both as well. You can even go home in between them for a sleep and a good big breakfast before heading to the second one. :)

Going the extra day with the 4 kids will cost another 100 plus euro though Pikeman. Grand if you have it.

Just read the report in the paper re the minor hurlers, they put up a big score against a poor Kerry team i see!!! Good shooting which I like to see,big test on Saturday in the park v Dublin should see where we stand in the scheme of things in Leinster!!! Noted in the paper that the team had a willingness to give the ball to the man in the better position sounds good anyway, usually in games like that lads get happy and try do everything themselves, has to be a good characteristic going forward!!! Looking at the results Dublin put up a big score v Offaly,so it should be a good test Saturday!!! I'd love a good minor team coming as we badly need it!!! IL tip on in Saturday for a look!!!I hope it's a good game!!!the very best of luck to them

Ah, I know. I was just joking in that previous post.

Yours is not a bad idea but I think you'd need a longer gap between matches. It's roughly two hours of a drive from Portlaoise to Galway, then you'd need time to get through the city, find parking somewhere near Salthill (and that's an awful place to try find a spot!), walk to the ground, and find your seat.

If the U20 match was at 12 o'clock so that you could be out of Portlaoise by 2, you probably wouldn't want the senior match starting any earlier than 6. And you'd probably have to bring the hang sangwiches with you too, as there wouldn't be much time to stop along the way.

I seen this morning the senior hurlers are playing Tipp in a challenge game in Carrick on Suir on Saturday April 8th, same day as we play Kilkenny at home in the u20 championship.

Assume the u20s will play the championship game?

Would be wrong if they didn't in my opinion.

Same as. Given luck with injuries etc they could go far this year.

Clubber are showing the wexford v Dublin minor game on Saturday. It will cost you €11.99 to view.
Great for those of us who can't get there.
A little expensive for a minor game I think.

If it's best case scenario everyone fit and available for Salthill my team would be:

J Lawlor

S Reck
Ryan
Devitt
Donohoe
D Reck
O'Hanlon

O'Keeffe
R Lawlor

McGovern
Chin
Mcguckin
Higgins
Conor Mc
ROC

Subs:
Fanning, Carty, Jacko, Dunbar, K Foley, Hearne, Dwyer, Flood, O Foley, Banville, Joe O'Connor

Think Egan was right to give 2 goalies 4 starts each over the early season competitions, don't want to be harsh but I think Fanning's performance in Limerick has cemented Lawlors spot. Carty would be very unlucky not be starting and would be 1st player in if any of the 6 backs named are unavailable so realistically a strong chance he'll start that game, if we play an out and out sweeper I'd drop dee back there, McGovern to midfield and Rory to half forward, starting Richie Lawlor after missing the league could be a risk but I think he's got a high ceiling and he could be a wildcard for us, the days of your traditional 3 man FF line are close to gone so even though Rory is named in the corner I'd give him a free role if he lined up there. I'd do my best to let the u20s focus on that but injuries might mean 1 or 2 end up on matchday panels.

You are very light on backs on the bench TerribleFootwork. What about Clarke and Niall Murphy?

Conor Hearne will be 100% be starting for Egan and rightly so.

He is good for a point or two and has a lot more in his legs than McGovern who could give us a good 25mins from the bench.

Rory Higgins won't start ahead of Mikey Dwyer or Cathal Dunbar

Other than that it is a good team.

Generally benches are more weighted towards forwards and midfielders and we've 4 there who can play in the backs in 2 O'Connors, Carty and Kevin Foley. On the u20s seen that 11 of the Cork team that started against ourselves started for them against Waterford on Wednesday night in the 1st round so we got a indication of where we are at in that game.

Jack has looked terrible every time he's played in the backs this year. Joe has hardly played at all this year. Kevin isn't a back unless he plays sweeper, which isn't really a back position but more an extra man to help out the backs and either bring or pass the ball forwards. Carty is a wingback but is a very good centreback he played there at u21 and plays there for his club so could cover there if Damien went off injured. Your bench has no cover for the fullback line apart from Joe who hasn't played or even trained hardly after being away for a year and was dropped off the panel before being asked back after all the injuries in the Cork game, and Simon or MOH if Carty came on wingback.
