Wexford Intercounty Hurling 2023

On another note, a serious possibility that we're playing second tier hurling. I would have thought that a few of the elder lads would hang on for another year but hard to see that happening if we're in the Joe McDonagh. The repressions of this campaign going forward could possibly do serious damage to Wexford hurling in the years going forward. I know we lost to Roscommon, years ago but that wasn't championship. Whatever were doing isn't working. U20's were very good but a lot of talk has come from out from the the higher ups about were going in the right direction. Obviously, were not. Players will have to take the blame but management must go. I don't see them going before the Kilkenny game but afterwards they will be removed. No coming back from this.

I'm not 1 who is trigger happy with managers but this is the darkest day in Wexford hurling that I can remember so I think current management are now untenable for next year.

I am not attending another Wexford match with Egan in charge and he can take 80% of that panel with him.

A year in the Joe McDonagh would sort those egos out!"
Have to say I'm devastated spoke to Egan earlier in the year and he said all the training snd focus was geared for winning Leinster

This guy has done this before, he card should be marked now. Any decent wexford support should never respond to anything it put up on this site again. Is there a relegation final

You are right, there is no coming back after that, management are not at the races and should go this evening as well as our Chairman. We accept mediocrity that's what we will get. The less we see or hear from the Chairman the Better…. Really pity the players as they don't deserve this…

16 points up at halftime and lose. Lost for words.
Well done Westmeath . A great day for them….never been a worse day in Wexford hurling.

Nothing much more to say that's been said above, a disgrace. Need to rally behind the team this week and try and stay in leinster. That's the aim. Kilkenny already in Leinster final, Wexford will be hurting so have to pull out a win from somewhere.

On another note championship structure here needs to revert alternative weekends. Getting bet in club championships etc feeding into negativity surrounding hurling. Not saying that makes a difference but it just piles on more misery to where hurling is at.

Players are just as culpable for this, alot of leaders didn't stand up in the 2nd half.

The management and chairman weren't playing the players are the ones that have to take the rap no leaders when we needed them as happened before against Tipp in 2019 .Players need to stand up.

no but they call the shots, we are here today because of martin and Kent before him, poor underage results especially at minor for the last 50 years , we need structure and professional setup and now let's just start from the bottom now,
total restructuring of academy and new young and positive faces needed, p45s should be issued tomorrow morning staring with jj doyle and Ray harris

Me too, been a season ticket for a good few years now. Followed this team all over. Between the disappointment of the u20s and today I honestly feel done. Will probably take a day off work and skip club training this week. Not to be dramatic but that was utterly depressing. Lowest I've ever felt following Wexford.

Manager co chairman can say whatever you like . We are where we are now . I can tell u this much if i was a player I would be rallying everyone and by f..k we will be beating killkenny next week . This situation is caused by several factors but the only ones that can alter it now are the players you f..king stand up now and be counted or be remembered for the wrong reasons. Kick the living daylights out if each other if that what it takes pass the blame but when the jerseys go on next Sunday you represent us and ye better fight for everything we believe in. You Hurl with everything u got no holding back
