Replying To tirconaillabu:  "I was at the game and witnessed the altercation if NC have access to video evidence, which I have heard they have then E Waide will be available next weekend as he was undoubtedly the victim."
Did the Kilcar keeper rip is own jersey half off?

There's obviously a lot of history between that particular keeper and Glenties. He was targeted, took the bait and was rightly sent off. As was the instigator. Both red cards merited.

GAA clubs need to start taking their oil and stop appealing every red card going. 99% of the time they are the correct call. Of clubs don't want players being suspended they should be telling the not to get sent off in the first place.

Intermediate semi final last Sunday , referee appointed for that game was in his first year as a referee. He didn't even have umpires so 2 people from each club had to step in and be the umpires. Unacceptable.

Was it an off the ball altercation between the pair?

Straight after the first Glenties goal. Keeper could probably have done better and the Glenties man sent off let him know that.

Replying To tickets:  "Anyway back Donegal club football.

I went to Fintra. Credit to NC. They just keep getting better. Anybody at Falcarragh. Must a been open football?

Interesting semi draw.

Glenties v Eunans I'd presume will be kept for Sunday and McCools will have home advantage Saturday night."
Sure to be O 'Donnell Park, Letterkenny for Gaoth Dobhair and Sean Mc Cumhaill. Couldn't have home advantage in a semi final when alternative , neutral venue available in between both clubs. A great week end of football overall. A good comeback in Fintra, raining goals in Falcarragh ,an old fashioned shoot out in Letterkenny and St Eunans found a way in Convoy. Credit to all clubs involved , things are never as bad as feared or projected. Plenty of talent in Dun na nGall

The keeper ran out to E Waide and introduced himself head first, I have been told it is all clear to be seen on camera and E Waide is clearly the victim.

Forgot about O Donnell park, I'd say they'll still keep the big 1 for Sunday and double header Saturday 4pm 5.30pm

Plenty of talent I agree and now we have the manager in place to get the best out of the panel he selects, really looking forward to next years intercounty season.
Makes sense that GD v MC should be a neutral venue.

Hi eunans4ever: Will Eunans go hard after the Naomh Conaill kickouts like they done against Aodh Rua in 2nd half. It changed the game. The rest is history.

Meath and Leitrim senior football finals live on Tg4 next Sunday.. wouldn't mind deferred coverage of St Eunans v Naomh Conaill later on.

Replying To The keeper:  "Why are you hurt Honey, is it because Off st eunans bottling the county final last year. Or the time st eunans played an illegal player and rightly had there title taken off them.
Great teams don't make excuses and find a way to win.
Like the time Naomh conail had a player wrongly sent off in a county final against st eunans, but still went on to win the county final.

Obviously I will be cheering on Naomh conail this wkend and hope we have enough to get over the line.
But if we don't, there will be no excuses and we will congratulate kilcar.
A club with a very small pick, that always produces some great footballers who have very rarely let the county down
People are saying there is bitterness between our clubs, however the real supporters admire kilcar and what they have contributed to the gaa in the county. And there supporters are as passionate gaa men as you would get anywhere in the country.
So may the best team win on the day"
Loosing a final by 1 point down a man isn't bottling it - your been unfair on glenties/Fintown there also , the better team won on the day - that's generally how football works.

Didn't glenties / Fintown cheat kilcar out of a Final few years ago no ??

Leon Thompson was not wrongly sent off in 05 - both men stuck and deserved the red cards…

Replying To tickets:  "Just back from day of GAA, great game in O Donnell park. Fair play to McCools, they'll build on that!

A lot of talk in Convoy that Eunans couldn't break down Aodh Rua first half. When you look at it- they conceded goal straight away playing against the breeze. I'd say Rory had it planned hold the ball over and back and not to forces passes and get turned over. Hold out until half time and open a bit more.

Pity both games are overlapping tomorrow."
Brilliant match in ODP - free flowing , great scores and plenty of talent on show fir incoming county mgr..

In convoy - what ballyshannon are currently doing is a crime against football - it's horrible stuff.

Too many teams are trying to copy the glenties/Fintown template but can't execute it properly - they are the best st it.

Replying To totalrecall:  "Unfortunately we had to witness another tactical masterclass from Mr mcnulty I. The eunans aodh ruadh game, shameful stuff"
I fail to understand the logic in them playing that way - it just doesn't work….

The second half was a masterclass in speed, attacking , beak the lines and direct play with great scoring at end of moves..

Ballyshannon ran out of juice and were torn apart having been chasing shadows most first half..

Replying To peiledoir20:  "Putrid stuff once again from the Ballyshannon Boardroom Boys. They could learn a thing or two from McCools in how to win a game. Thankfully we won't have to clap eyes on them again until next year."
Correct.

Replying To Ulsterchamps72:  "Agreed, this type of football is terrible to watch and does nothing to develop players. Club football in the country appeared to have turned the corner with positive attacking football with Corofin, Dr Crokes, Ballyboden and St Brigids etc winning club titles but then Kilcoo unfortunately won one with a last minute goal. Corofin won 4 All Irelands by attacking, but managers have reverted to the Kilcoo rubbish, and send their teams out with the mantra, we'll try and win one nil."
I wouldn't be trying to blame Kilcoo for it - we should look at ourselves closer to home.

Unfortunately we started all this back in 05 in glenties/Fintown

Replying To HB245:  "Yea, Aodh Ruadh should have played man-to-man, 15 on 15, attacking football against Eunans! I'm sure that would have ended well for them!
As for you saying they could learn a thing or two from SmcC… don't MacCumhails have two of the best forwards in Donegal in their forward line… of course they're going to be a better attacking team than Aodh Ruadh. Not rocket science."
Sure they were smashed playing that horrible style - why not come out and have a go ???

It beggars belief at times

In what way ????

To win the championship - each would of had to beat the other to do so at some stage….
