Replying To Spinx:  "Great result for Colmcille. Took control of the second half and won the battle at midfield. It will be Colmcille v Killoe in the final and I have a feeling the result from the group stage will be reversed."
Hard luck on Clonguish's defeat. Colmcille seem to have the Indian sign over them. But they are a young team and no doubt will come again.

It's tough when your club is defeated particularly when they were hot favourites to win it outright

No complaints. The best team won again this year. Alot to be learned. Killoe as predicted should add another title

There will probably be a good few vacancies in Longford for next year to be filled.
Cashel and Connollys will be looking for new managers next year.
What about the likes of Abbeylara, Clonguish, Dromard, Mullinalaghta and Granard?
Will their current managements be stepping aside?
Could be a few tempting positions available for a man to get his teeth stuck into!

There could be a lot of vacancies in Roscommon as well.
I'd say these will be filled first.

The Roscommon clubs will always get first call on any available managers within the Roscommon/Longford region, there's no denying that. You have to realise where you stand on the food chain and Longford club football is a good bit behind Roscommon club football, so all the 'top' managers will go to Roscommon first.

All I'm wondering is, how many clubs in Longford will be looking for new management next year.

I think Cashel is the only one confirmed so far to be having a spot available.

What about Westmeath and Leitrim, counties bordering Roscommon. We know where we are in the food chain that is why we are not concerned about what happens in other counties at club level.

As young as they are a lot of that Clonguish team played in a 2023 county final and have frankly failed to deliver since then. Killoe had too much for our lads on Sunday and look like they'll win it out from here. Killoe have also managed to add in plenty of youth to there team with darren moffett, paddy moran, gavin farrelly, james moran, eamon keogh, evan farrelly conor mulligan and shane donohoe all featuring at the weekend and they are all young enough to be around for years to come. Colmcille have loads of experience and know how to win. Killoe have experience, youth and know how to win. A narrow killoe win for me but colmcille will be excellently set up on the day by Gerard Carberry

I think Ger carberry if he wanted should be involved with Longnford setup

I think Colmcille will have too much for Killoe on Sunday. My money for next year is going on Clonguish to win it, if what I'm hearing about their potential new manager is true.

You predicted that Killoe would win all along (I know you were obviously deflecting attention from your own club)
Now expand please on this big news. You have the inside information

If you take a look back over the last page, I have said Colmcille will win. Things change as the season progresses. Basically, Colmcille have to win after their collapse last year or they will be always known as the bridesmaids. I don't want to say too much on who Clonguish are talking to, but contact was made between club and this lad in a bordering county by Sunday night. His father was a well know man in Longford club football. He is very intrigued by the project.

I can't see Dolan taking the job after I spoke to a Garrycastle man earlier.

There is more chance of me taking the job than Dessie Dolan.
I can't see Clonguish going for a big outside name.
The last big splash they made was appointing Michael McCormack and that was nearly 20 years ago.
They could keep it in house with Davy Barden, Derek Duggan or Ciaran Carey all likely candidates.
I hear both relegated senior clubs are also on the look out for new managers for next year as is Granard.
Granard will possibly look across the county boundary for their new man.

Colmcille lost the final after a replay in extra time last year, cannot be considered a collapse.
This is their third final in four years, winning and losing one.

The biggest collapse has come from your own club, beaten finalists in 2023 and then beaten at the QF stage since despite all the expectations.

Wrong!
Colmcille were cruising in the first game last year and let Abbey back in by trying to run down the clock.
They collapsed in the replay.
My team did not make the final in 2023, as Kenagh beat us in the semi-final.
I suppose you can say we collapsed that day, but we made amends last year.
And I believe Colmcille will do the same this year.
