Replying To Seanfanbocht:  "Head to head but obviously as Kildare and Sligo drew it has to be score difference if they finish level on points.
They will both park the bus v Ros and Dublin."
And will the Rossies not be parking the bus also against Dublin??

Roscommon V Sligo confirmed for Sunday June 4th with a 3pm throw in. Better than playing it Saturday but a pity the Bank Holiday Monday wasn't considered as option.

Any word on panel/injuries? How's Eddie Nolan progressing?

Can't imagine there'll be any huge surprises in team selection. Probably similar to Mayo, need to be slowing down and stoppin Dubling out the field. Last thing we need is Con and Mannion getting quick early ball and running riot.

As reported in Herald DB has reported a clean bill of health. Agree if we sit back and let them run at us its going to be a long day. The key to giving them a game depends on how well we stop key players. If Cluxton can get his kickout to key players they will have a stroll as we don't have the S+C to stop them when they getting going. if this means double on certain players to stop there momentum so be it. They don't have the panel like they used to have. We need to bring so thing different that they have not experienced before and this is the time to catch them now.

Good to hear that we have no new injuries to deal with. Looking forward to Sunday, although it will be tough ask to get a result, I think we are capable of giving the Dubs plenty to think about. Look at what how Kildare made them work. Has anyone bought tickets yet?? Looking on ticketmaster and it's the usual situation of corner tickets on sale first so il bide my time and wait towards the end of the week to get them. Very frustrating system!

What are the expectations for Sunday? McHale park last month seems a long time ago. I was home for that match and remember how close we came to conceding goals in the first few minutes. That can't happen against Dublin.

How to handle Cluxton's kickouts would have been high priority for Davy Burke the last couple of weeks I imagine. Should they press up or not? Or vary it depending on where the game is at?

And will Cian McKeon start? We need players of his calibre who can run at teams and breaks lines and stop us becoming too back and forth when scores are really needed.

Tadhg O'Rouke and Keith Doyle good to go at midfield I hope. If all our forwards show up, this could be a banger of a game.

Very hard to know. Hopefully we put in a really good performance for 70 + minutes.

I don't think it is feasible to press more often than not. At the very least it is very energy sapping and as the Dubs showed against Louth, they can really punish if they kick over the press and win possession. Varying it seems like it would be better.

I think that injury rules O'Rourke out for the summer unless there has been better news recently?

The team I'd like to see start is
Carroll
Murray
C Daly
Stack
N Daly
Hussey
McCormack
Ruane
Doyle
E Smith
C Murtagh
Hughes
McKeon
O'Carroll
D Murtagh

Team published doubtful if it will start but I know Conor Daly picked up a knocked in recent challenge and I think Daire Cregg was nursing a hamstring injury. Good to see us boosted with midfield options with Eddie Nolan and Cunnane named on the 26.

Conor Hussey (Michael Glaveys)
Brian Stack (St Brigids)
David Murray (Padraig Pearses)
Niall Daly (Padraig Pearses)
Eoin McCormack (St Dominics)
Dylan Ruane (Michael Glaveys)
Keith Doyle (St Dominics)
Ciaran Lennon (Clann na nGael)
Ciarain Murtagh (St Faithleachs)
Enda Smith (Boyle)
Cian McKeon (Boyle)
Ben O'Carroll (St Brigids)
Donie Smith (Boyle)
Diarmuid Murtagh (St Faithleachs)

Subs - Colm Lavin (Eire Og) Robbie Dolan (St Brigids) Ruaidhri Fallon (St Brigids) Colin Walsh (Eire Og) Niall Kilroy (Fuerty) Eddie Nolan (St Brigids) Cian Connolly (Roscommon Gaels) Conor Cox (Eire Og) Shane Cunnane (St Brigids) Conor Daly (Padraig Pearses) Richard Hughes (Roscommon Gaels)

Well done to the Mayo minors who beat Galway by 6 points in the Connacht final last night. Shows that the Roscommon minors were not far from being top of the tree after their 1 point defeat last week to Mayo.
Best of luck to the senior team tomorrow. Hopefully they will put in a good performance, be competitive (win/lose/draw) as they have been all year, and have no injuries for the Sligo & Kildare games.

The disappointment with the minors is the lingering feeling that they were an improving team who could have gone a very long way in the championship if they won that tight match with Mayo in Castlebar.

Best of luck to the team and management in Croke Park tomorrow. Great to see the primrose and blue there again. With the right attitude and a bit of luck who knows what might happen. Don't think Dublin are as scary as in other years so heres hoping

I've criticized the County Board on numerous occasions but I have to praise them for bringing in Davy Burke. Nobody knew anything about him but he has done a great job at refreshing the Roscommon team. We're not a million miles from the big four of Kerry, Mayo, Dublin, and Galway.
Today is a massive test for the Rossies as Dublin has to prove they are the team to beat in the championship. We may fall short today but the bookies have got it wrong as it will be a closer game than they are predicting.

Very seldom post but although all is not over today it is a serious test to see where we are. We can mix it with the best of them in Connacht but unlike our neighbours we do not perform in Croke Park. Time to change that and think the mentality is different this time. Up the Ross...
