Replying To Belclare:  "Caught the 2nd half of Moycullen Tuam..
Moycullen in second gear against a slow ageing unfit Tuam team..
Tuam going no where, Moycullen and Peter Cooke making great strides..."
Heard Cooke was very good. The big question is will his work abroad stop him from being involved with Galway again next year.

Glan vs Kilconly - Glan by 2
Brendans vs Corofin - Brendans by 6
Dunmore vs Kilkerrin- Dunmore by 9
Aran vs Breatneachs - Aran by 4"
Glen vs Kilconly - Kilconly by 3, Glen too inconsistent , Kilconly will have too much up front for them.
Brendans vs Corofin - Brendans by 6+ very steady - favourites along with Dunmore to win it out. Corofin wont be too bothered about it as they cant go up anyway.
Dunmore vs K/C hard to see anything but big dunmore win 6+ KC just happy to have won games without Shane Walsh
Aran vs MB - Draw with Aran to win in extra time. Hard to call this local Derby.

Winner from Dunmore or Brendans.

I can't see beyond Moycullen at this stage, their conditioning is very impressive and they seem to have pace and power in every line.
Not sure where Tuam are at the moment.

Glenamaddy, Dunmore and MB for me.

Fancy our own lads against St Brendan's (The Rossies). We are moving well with a few lads back from America that could yet make the jump to senior later in the year.

Don't know what football you've been watching this year juniorblegend, but by my calculations Glenamaddy have only lost 1 game this year which was round one of the league V Leitr Mor, so that seems pretty consistent to me!

Glen v Kilconly - Glen by 3
Brendans V Corofin - Brendans by 4
Dunmore V K/C - Dunmore by 6
Arann V M/B - Arann by 6

Calling Arann V MB a local derby is like calling Annaghdown V Miltown a local derby! Theres about 12Km (travel distance) between them as well as being split by another club in An Ceathrú Rua

Your geography is very poor, ros a mhil port, the main port to aran, is in the parish of mb, mb players come from ros a mhil so yes it's a derby, carraroe are a few km back West

It's a Conamara derby for sure. Both teams had a right battle a few years ago and know each other well.
While MB only scraped through to the quarters with a late point against Caltra, I think they're worst draw that Árainn could have gotten.
They have plenty experience and I'd expect them to be better than they've shown so far. Árainn have been comfortable and impressive so far without Mulkerrin. I'd love to see them go up, but I think they'll have to dig very deep to win this one.

Very important to be the best second placed finisher with the format of the quarter final draw, meaning avoiding Mountbellew. Corofin look a certainity for this spot which means we should get Moycullen, Mountbellew and Corofin all in semi finals and then one other team which would be dependent on who Salthill get in a QF.

Brilliant from the Spiddal players and club last night with the gesture for Gary .. Well done..
Was looking forward to the u 19 game v Tuam Stars tonight but heard that Tuam conceded the game!
What a terrible reflection...

Lovely gesture indeed from them. They should have no fear of the relegation play off. There to good to go down and gave us plenty to think about. And they were without the two best players the Laoi's.

Muise, you would want to scrub up on your own geography if you think Ros a Mhíl is in MB/Inverin parish.

You're both right and wrong in a way.
Ros a Mhíl is part of the parish of An Spidéal. However, players from Ros a Mhíl now play for MB mainly and have done for many years. They used to play for An Spidéal in decades past. It makes sense geographically.

Ros A Mhíl was always considered in the parish of An Spidéal alright, but as you said I dont think they've had too many players from the area for years. Would most of lads from Ros a Mhíl not play for C Rua rather than MB? Gotta be 50/50 anyway theyre as close to both if not slightly closer to cCRua pitch

Parish of An Spidéal but semantics - dont Spidéal and Ros A Mhíl kids have communion and confirmation jointly I think? Not sure if its still a thing?

They are in real trouble, only senior team with 0 points so far, looking like carraroe, kilanin, james, spiddal, caherlistrane, monivea, lettermore/oughterard in the mix all of which would only love to draw spiddal.
2 down this year. It'll take something special and with the o Laois out they will struggle, oughterard win and their safe With a better scoring difference so they will be going after their final game like it's a relegation final

Unfortunately there were a few concessions in the U19 championship, Tuam conceded to Corofin, St Michaels conceded to Salthill and Milltown conceded to Cortoon. I don't think the Tuam one mattered too much as they were already bottom of the group and haven't won a game.

Oranmore must have a decent u19 outfit given they are yet to be beaten this year and that west championship looks strong.
