Amazing to see Kildare and Galway fans in here giving it the big one on how much Dublin will beat Meath by telling us they expect Dublin wins by 10 to 15+ points. As if they themselves would do much better than Meath and could get beaten by an even worse score ... brian (Meath) - Posts: 2000 - 05/07/2021 16:01:40 2356612 Link 7 |

If you're putting a thread into the national forum, you're opening it to the opinions and views of people from every county. I am worried about Westmeath as I know how dire Kildare can be. Regarding Meath, I've seen nothing to suggest they can get within 15 points of Dublin. I might be proven wrong, brilliant if so, as we are at least 5 point lad better than Meath at the minute.

What was the score the last time we played Kildare in Croke Park pal You honestly reckon you're 5 points better than Meath, once lock down is over take up stand up would you if you can say that with a straight face... I'd give Dublin a 20 point handicap against Kildare and expect them to beat it. brian (Meath) - Posts: 2000 - 05/07/2021 16:16:55 2356626 Link 6 |

Kildare are a 5 point lead better than Meath.... Didn't work out so well in Newbridge when we gave you a 10 point lead, in our worst performance in 3 years and still only lost by 3 points.... Might want to think before you speak brian (Meath) - Posts: 2000 - 05/07/2021 16:20:10 2356630 Link 6 |

Kildare lost that game rather than Meath winning it, we were 6 up at half time having kicked many points away. Read how I said we can be dire^ Hopefully Kildare get over Westmeath and we can both have a crack at Dublin to see where we're at comparatively Sweetspot (Kildare) - Posts: 353 - 05/07/2021 16:23:30 2356632 Link 10 |

if Dublin beats meath by 15+ then they will also beat west meath and kildare ... meath west meath and kildare can beat each other any given day if you think kildare are way ahead of meath and west meath your foolish

At no point did I suggest Kildare or a Westmeath would win Leinster. Dublin are 1/50 to win this game. Meath are 16/1. I don't think my comments are too outlandish. Kildare are currently coming into a period where we'll hopefully capitalise on the relatively high levels of underage success we had in the 2010's, Meath have promise but probably need more transition time. That's my view, might be wrong.

Meath didn't win that game.... you're truly embarrassing yourself now No pal you lost, Meath scored 5 second half goals and ripped Kildare an absolute new ass. The game is played over 70 minutes not 35... imagine Meath gave you a 6 point lead that day and still won by 9. Your choice of words is absolutely abysmal. brian (Meath) - Posts: 2000 - 05/07/2021 17:03:00 2356654 Link 4 |

TBF waynol think we all see the sarcasm in the OP post ;) Its the good thing with ourselves and the Dubs, we've always understood the banter and sarcasm on both sides. We might close the gap a little but the gap is at present immeasurable so we'll see how long it take to even start buillding a bridge to get over it brian (Meath) - Posts: 2000 - 05/07/2021 17:05:38 2356655 Link 4 |

When you're expecting to beat a team you beat half the time you have to be wary of the half the time you don't. And when you're expected to lose against the team who normally beats you half the time then you know you're in with a chance. If that makes sense! jonno (Kildare) - Posts: 261 - 05/07/2021 17:55:38 2356668 Link 6 |

Meath got 5 goals to win game last year, won't happen again anytime soon, freak result. Same as the time you beat Dublin the day you got all the goals . The Meath lads were crying into each others arms a few weeks ago after Kildare beat them and now as easy win against Longford has them all deluded again. It will have little or no relevance for the game v Meath. Amazing how many of the Dub supporters on here are talking down Dublin and bigging up the opposition. You must think we all came down in the last shower! 8 All-Irelands in the last 10 years and 15 out of the last 16 Leinster titles and all of a sudden they're worried about getting out of Leinster! jimski (Kildare) - Posts: 381 - 05/07/2021 18:19:15 2356674 Link 7 |

Every Meath Dublin game without fail over the last decade Royal Dunne has predicted Meath to win when they never had any chance. MesAmis (Dublin) - Posts: 13850 - 05/07/2021 18:33:03 2356678 Link 4 |

Oh God, all this talk of 'nearly ' beating Kildare , a team playing with only 14 men for most of the second half , ah well , gracious as ever . St.Conleth (Kildare) - Posts: 1745 - 05/07/2021 19:00:31 2356688 Link 14 |

What do you mean by relatively high levels of underage success we had in the 2010's An all ireland U20 and that's it... what other titles have you won... 2 Leinster U20's and 4 minors and no all irelands... You really don't help yourself. brian (Meath) - Posts: 2000 - 05/07/2021 19:15:31 2356695 Link 3 |
