the clare and cork game is a hard one to call will the heat 2 wks in a row be the downfall of clare against a fresh cork....i just have a feeling cork will have the legs and freshness in the last 10 minutes ...cork by 3.
waterford and galway is another that should go down to the wire but wouldnt be surprised if waterford win comfortably either.....something is telling me that all is not right in the galway camp. plus liam cahill is coming into this match on the bk of 2 average performances but also expectations are low and that makes them very dangerous. there has to be a big performance in waterford. waterford by 4.

I'm tempted to copy your picks but I have a nagging feeling about Cork. So I'll go Cork, Galway, Laois. I don't know what kind of Galway team will show up. Hopefully a hungry one.

PS. Who's that poster from Galway with the persecution complex?...a shrink needed there badly!"
Do you mean the Kat who even responded to himself just above who's delighted Galway are in and at the same time terrified as to which Galway will show up. He should take from from the Galway supporter in the league in Salthill a few years ago who mused said at half - time that "Linerick is not hurling county". Hope springs eternal. Write it down,

I agree with your three picks (great minds think alike).

Will RTE radio interrupt reports of loser sports at the Olympics to tell us anything about the hurling?

Looks like Waterford forgot to read the script as well :-)

Not looking good for Galway. 2nd half better be better. Sigh.

Delightful incisive hurling by Waterford in first half...12 point lead ht.I just can't see Galway coming back from this Waterford tsunami of attacking running hurling,Galway seem to have lost their sharpness, cutting edge, a bit rooted to the ground, can't understand it.
Galway need to do a Limerick in second half to make a game of it.I would imagine that Waterford will tire with all that running, they should let the ball do the work in the second half and not play into Galways hands.

This is embarrassing. The extra man has not made a blind bit of difference to Galway. JC has not touched the ball in open play. I have never seen the two Mannions play as bad. Absolutely awful stuff.

Was that not one of those "new"penalties conceded by Galway no 4 when he fouled/brought down the Galway player and only the goalie behind them about 5mins into second half.

These Galway players just gone over the hill, 6-7 of them, on the go since 2010, owe nothing. Fantastic players.

Looks like the end of the line for some of the Galway team.

Delighted for Waterford,it would have been a travesty if they lost that game, way superior hurlers to Galway on the day.

Congratulations Waterford. Best of luck in the rest of the Championship. Disappointed in Galway as I truly believe they are better than Dublin and Waterford. Sigh.
