Its 5000 as its a trial.
probably easiest way would be season ticket holders from last year and then see how many are left

Killingfields is the 5000 based on capacity??i didn't realize it was going to be so high,I thought it was either 200 or 500..I'll glssly watch inter county on television as long as I can to club games for the next few months..I'm lucky that I'm fully vaccinated so I'd hope that would be taken into consideration for me snd others in same position..if we can't start going out again I can't see the point of these vaccines..

I dont know.

There is other events which will be lower like the league of ireland soccer games etc
I would think as we will have crowds at club games soon enough which will be around those limits you mention but we need to trial bigger crowds and crowds nearer capacity...

Yes along with at least 1000. The Irish government need to cut back on their overly cautious attitude.

The one thing the pandemic has done is expose Ireland as a shambles of a country, anyone who had the cop on to leave the place knows that anyway, the country will never be any good.

Why don't you post under your real county profile name on the main forum. Not enough wisdom or analysing to be done I guess. What do you need me to fix sugar? I'd make a better fist of running the country than a bunch of medics, I expect medics to keep people healthy, not to dictate policy. That's my opinion. What's your opinion on it?"
I'm sure you think you can do better. That's what arrogance does to you.
Why not tell us all what you would have done to make things better ladeen. Specifically like.

Well ? Still waiting.

As of the 22nd February this year, the government had spent over 6 BILLION on pandemic unemployment payment. I wonder how many billions by now.

Would it not have been more attractive to use those billions to increase hospital capacities to deal with cases whilst keeping shops and/or restaurants open with restrictions, indoor or outdoor dining depending on numbers.

Two birds one stone; keeping industries open and people working and improving our healthcare system which has been a long term problem.

Instead we got locked up for months on end whilst leaking money. What a waste.

Rationale like that is not liked by some in this country. We'll never know on the billions spent, but let's just hope hospital numbers continue to improve along with the vaccination numbers etc so there isn't any more calls to go back to tightening restrictions again whilst scapegoating sectors like hospitality and the arts etc.

With all respect but what you're suggesting would have been no different to allowing people to break the law but continue building prisons, get sick but don't worry we'll have an ICU bed ready for you.

It would have led to a total collapse, who would be in the work places, shops and restaurants when the majority of people would be sick or afraid to leave the house ?

Who would care for them in hospital when thousands of frontline workers would have been sick as well ?

Don't look at the pandemic unemployment payments as a waste of money, it is money going into the economy, it's taxable, it helps people survive and the government get a big chunk of it back.

Of course it will be abused by a tiny minority, that's always the case.

Sealing the borders, air and sea and including into Northern Ireland would have got the situation under control very quickly, don't forget that around this time last year Ireland had virtually wiped Covid out.

The internal economy could have stayed open and actually thrived because of internal tourism etc, yes it would have been inconvenient but a hell of a lot better than what was allowed happen.

But who would have been holidaying internally here when everyone was sick?

Nobody would have been sick if we wiped Covid out and had closed the borders, that's the whole point.

Soif we had done that at what future date do you think we could open up. Maybe September 2021 after 18 months?

But we didn't wipe it out, it's been here since February 2020 and at no stage did we come close to wiping it out.
If the news papers and media were to be believed, even one infected person walking around freely could end up with half the country testing positive within a month, unless they were exaggerating (perish the thought).
So yeah, we'll put the internal holidaying in the "maybe" pile.

You're incorrect there, we were down to single digit cases around this time last year, so yes it was nearly wiped out. It was open borders which drove the numbers through the roof.

Nothing wrong with opening borders when everyone is vaccinated.

No way was it positive cases. There was never a time throughout the pandemic that we were told we should be anything but terrified, who am I to believe, you, or the msm? (well, probably you in fairness lol)
If it was open borders, then why were people blaming the GAA celebrations for it?
