My money is you wouldn't be calling either of those lads a ginnit if they were standing in front of you Belclare. Just cool the keyboard warrior stuff... you don't need to personalise to make your point.

Unfortunately we in galway know that personalising these type of things is the corofin way!!!!

Absolutely, Mayo must have lots of cronies in about Rte, if a Tyrone player had thrown his Gps at a free taker as he about to take a free to win the All ireland you'd never hear the end of it, one of the lowest acts I've ever seen on a football pitch, not a word about it, If Tyrone had attacked the Galway players in the tunnel like that there's be calls for bans etc, typical from Rte. Would you give over the moaning. 'poor Shane Walsh'..is he a 5 year old child or something? Mayo attack Galway on route to the changing room. Maybe, I know this is a radical idea, if ye stood up for yourselves it might help with your football performances. CC2020 (Kilkenny) - Posts: 173 - 26/07/2021 19:06:54 2364416 Link 4 |
That's all sanctimonious bull. If you or I were about to lose a 4th or 5th all Ireland and playing flat out for 77min we might try and distract the opposition free taker. When someone calls this 'the lowest act' they've seen you know they are spoofing. What about Francie Bellew for Cross knocking out Mickey Linden's teeth playing for Mayobridge? Or Tadhg Kenneally targeting Nicholas Murphy with an elbow to the head in the first seconds of the 2009 All Ireland? Ciaran Duff kicking a Galway player in the head in 1983? The list is endless. How you can include the Bellew incident...which was barely a free, with the other two is beyond me.

No. He went too far and not a thing said about it cos everybody felt sorry for them. You'd want to have a heart of stone not to but still you can't throw items at the opposition. lilylanger (Kildare) - Posts: 758 - 26/07/2021 19:57:42 2364441 Link 4 |
I always found that GPS incident to be ridiculously overrated tbh,, it was a bit naughty like but jeez,,

It was a bit like Crowley throwing the water at the Dublin player in 2019. Some were inclined to laugh it off - although Crowley did get a suspension I think. BarneyGrant (Dublin) - Posts: 2554 - 26/07/2021 20:50:02 2364471 Link 4 |
I found it underrated. Some of the minor incidents over the years which have been highlighted and made into massive issues and here in an AI final the last kick of a game a player throws a gps tracker at the kicker. It's unreal and if any northern team done it the media would be calling for a life time ban. They were calling for mcanns head when he took an embarrassing dive in a game they were already winning. Imagine the uproar if he had done what Lee did. Easily one of the worst incidents in the last 10 years. TYE08 (Tyrone) - Posts: 93 - 26/07/2021 22:05:21 2364504 Link 6 |
Distracting a lad worse than hitting a lad? Stop embarrassing yourselves. Claretandblue (Westmeath) - Posts: 1489 - 26/07/2021 23:09:55 2364526 Link 3 |
McCanns dive was way worse imo. Throwing a little GPS tracker was more a spur of the moment thing, and we're all guilty of that, and provided no more of a distraction than a booing crowd and probably way less of a distraction than a taunting marker. @IrishWebGuy has a video of the incident up on twitter. Shane tried to stop ohoras run by pulling him back and ohora threw him out of his way like any proper man would. Shane was lucky not to receive a black card and ohora a ticking plus loss of his free from shanes pull back!

Good man Belclare...resorting to name calling. You really are salty...What you make of the booing and whistling before Ryan O D took his penalty?

Shane was well aware who was behind him because he was trying to block his run. Fact is poor Shane was messing with an ex MMA fighter. Not clever enough to pick his battles obviously. Don't going running in the Savannah and then complain if a Lion takes a bite out of you. Johnny Heaney was trying to be the hard man in the Tunnel. Went into hiding for the 2nd half. tirawleybaron (Mayo) - Posts: 1108 - 27/07/2021 03:46:17 2364549 Link 2 |

Did anybody actually strike anyone in the tunnel? All I can see is a lot of pushing and shoving, and probably some mouthing as well. It doesn't look good but speculation about possible suspensions is way off the mark. If it happened on the field of play the referee would just tell fellows to calm down and maybe issue a couple of yellow cards. midlands (Westmeath) - Posts: 542 - 27/07/2021 16:17:40 2364781 Link 2 |
Watching that consummation is some thing. That jack-ass is armed way above his stature.
