Don't think that's true of either of them - lots of braying but the rest? Doubtful.

Oh you mean the actual equines. Mea Culpa ;-)

Replying To CC2020:  "That's all sanctimonious bull. If you or I were about to lose a 4th or 5th all Ireland and playing flat out for 77min we might try and distract the opposition free taker.

When someone calls this 'the lowest act' they've seen you know they are spoofing. What about Francie Bellew for Cross knocking out Mickey Linden's teeth playing for Mayobridge? Or Tadhg Kenneally targeting Nicholas Murphy with an elbow to the head in the first seconds of the 2009 All Ireland? Ciaran Duff kicking a Galway player in the head in 1983? The list is endless."
Ah come on now. You trying to tell me it wasn't a dirty action? So firing objects at a player trying to kick the winning point in an AI is OK as they have won loads?

I remember the Tadhg Kenneally incident and thought for sure it was a straight red but the ref Bottled it. Those incident you mentioned were hits or bad challenges which can happen in the blink of an eye. The thought process of either removing your GPS or getting a backroom panel member to hand you one to throw it at player makes this in my opinion worse. Those bad challenges can sometimes be explained as a rush of blood to the head. Where this was a planned and deliberate act. People shout and moan when a player dives or goes down under a soft challenge.

It was completely unsporting and I haven't seen anything that deliberate in Gaa before. Hits are one thing but this something else.

Replying To Tirchonaill1:  "Absolutely, Mayo must have lots of cronies in about Rte,
if a Tyrone player had thrown his Gps at a free taker as he about to take a free to win the All ireland you'd never hear the end of it, one of the lowest acts I've ever seen on a football pitch, not a word about it,
If Tyrone had attacked the Galway players in the tunnel like that there's be calls for bans etc, typical from Rte."

Go on Tirchonaill1

Give us a breakdown of the Mayo v Galway tunnel fight there ... go on show us where the atrocities occured?

'one of the lowest acts i've ever seen on a football pitch' you mean the one before 4/5 mayo lads were all simultaneously pulled to the floor at the same time during the kickout?

I'm convinced you are a troll just in here to wind people up, you have to be, otherwise dear lord

Replying To Galway9801:  "McCanns dive was way worse imo.
Throwing a little GPS tracker was more a spur of the moment thing, and we're all guilty of that, and provided no more of a distraction than a booing crowd and probably way less of a distraction than a taunting marker."
Diving is spur of the moment as it can happen in a spilt second. Lee had to go over to the side line get a GPS tracker, track back in line with Dean Rock and throw it as he was running past. There is far more thought process in that than simply falling to the ground.

Jaysis - It's called a tracker for a reason. It's not left on the sideline!
Can you work out where it was relative to Keegan - have a go.

I touched on that in my post but admin for some reason opted not to print it, only allowing the 2nd half of what I wrote. I'll try again.
Diving in my opinion is premeditated, discussed in the dressing room beforehand,it's no coincidence that some teams are worse for it than others,,and it can get an innocent footballer sent off,,in fact the whole point of going to ground clutching your face is to get a player wrongly sent off.
How in the name of God you can equate that to mildly distracting a guy about to take a free is beyond me. The GPS incident was no more of a distraction than a booing crowd. Id say sledging is way worse.

If you think throwing a Gps at a free taker attempting to take a free to win an All ireland final is equivalent to the Mayo yahoos booing then you are seriously deluded.
it was a despicable act, how anyone can try and pass it off as 'nothing to see here' is astonishing tbh.

Diving is a curse in Gaelic football and was alien to our games until recent times. It has been borrowed from the soccer prima donna's and is a scourge to our games.

Poor Lee Keegan only threw a GPS. He also wrestled Sean Cavanagh to the ground and got Sean sent off. Butter wouldn't melt. If it were Dublin, Donegal ,Armagh or Tyrone we would have heard more about it. Some teams are treated like wee pets, bless them.

No one said trying to distract a free taker was great behaviour. But dirty? Give it a rest. Any competitor worth their salt would try to avoid a 5th all ireland loss. Many of us, on our last legs in the 77 min might try some distraction. The old way was walking beside the kicker or whistling and jumping Infront of him. Or Babs Keating, just as Richie Bennis is about to pick a 65 to win the 1973 Munster hurling final.. He walks by as he's lifting the ball says 'Richie I'll give you a tenner if you can score'. Bennis did score. These are all forms of mind games and distraction. If GPS trackers were available throughout GAA history I'm sure we'd have more instances. This thread is full of Perfect Peters, ironically most from Tyrone.

I've seen so many posters from Tyrone supporters and they describe some incident and begin 'If this happened in Tyrone or Ulster' end of the world blah blah blah. The planks ye carry on your shoulders, ye could do with Simon of Cyrene to give ye a hand carrying them.

You've won 3 All Irelands in the last 18 years in Tyrone, you have arrived. Time to shed all your old baggage. You're in a province where most can win. Imagine the whinging if you had Dublin whipping you most years.

There's so much point scoring on these forums. Tyrone can't beat Mayo and will bring up nonsense. Kerry and Dublin is a silly circus at this stage. I don't mind if someone has something to say straight out. But crap like a Tyrone person starting a thread why Kerry supporters don't travel and he's concerned for the Kerry players. That's not manly and far more cowardly that incidents which happen in the heat of battle.

Replying To TYE08:  "I found it underrated. Some of the minor incidents over the years which have been highlighted and made into massive issues and here in an AI final the last kick of a game a player throws a gps tracker at the kicker. It's unreal and if any northern team done it the media would be calling for a life time ban.

They were calling for mcanns head when he took an embarrassing dive in a game they were already winning. Imagine the uproar if he had done what Lee did.

Easily one of the worst incidents in the last 10 years."
Ah now, we've truly reached silly season with comments like this, flicking a GPS (towards the ball and not flung at Rock as some posters are claiming) is the worst action of the previous decade?

Jesus wept. And where do you stand on the spitting at opposition players, grabbing of their genitals, eye gouging and dropping down on opposition players with their knees, as several Tyrone players were accused of in the previous decade?

So dart players flick their darts now, flicking hell.

The Lee Keegan incident canno't be compared to what a Kerry player did to Nicholas Murphy of Cork in the first seconds of an All-Ireland final. The same player even bragged about it in his book. To say that the Keegan incident was one of the worst incidents in recent years is a wind-up.

A flimsy GPS piece is nothing like a pointed dart.

Really running out of arguments.
