Disgraceful Scenes At Half Time

(Oldest Posts First) - Go To The Latest Post

I for one am absolutely disgusted at the scenes at half time in the all ireland final today.

I actually feel physically sick just thinking about the behaviour of both Dublin and Mayo players involved.

Something has to be done about this and the gas needs to throw the book needs at both counties.

I don't think it is taking it too far to say that both counties should be expelled from next years championship.

I hope that all hoganstand posters will row in behind me in an act of solidarity and consistency on these issues.

Something does need to be done about players behaviour like this but your idea of expulsion seems to me to come from a slightly alterior motive.

Haha!

Sure while you're at it, throw them both out of this year's championship and let ourselves and Tipp battle it out for Sam ;)

The most important thing is that no one's hair got ruffled.

Yes and Tyrone have been the epitome of sporting behaviour for many years

Its happened before and will happen again. Punish the players and not the teams. What were the repercussions for ourselves and yourselves in Omagh that time? I honestly can't remember. And that was far worse.

As the great Jack Boothman said in 96, I dont condemn it and I wont condone it. Storm in a tea cup, compared to Louth fans in 2010

No chance of counties being expelled. Suspensions may be a possibilty but it might not be easy to identify all the culprits. Are there any precedents, and if so what penalties were imposed?

Ah sure we know wally it will all be glossed over...12 month ban for McMahon you'd be expecting..now if it was Tyrone and armagh we know we would have an interesting reaction

Didn't really watch the match so didn't see the incident and it's not online yet.

But by the sounds of it, it does seem like despicable and disappointing behaviour

I'd say your in the wrong place if your looking consistency Wally. Maybe if Mayo had three All Irelands under their belt and had upset the apple cart you might have more luck

I don't agree with scuffles at half time or full time but if my memory serves me correct Tyrone have been involved in or two in the recent past.

O'Shea and Cillain O'Connor bang out of line. Dreadful attack on McMahon.

It wouldn't be like Philly to be talking when he should have been listening.

I'm sure it was all a big misunderstanding and thy Mayo lads will feel very silly when the realise Philly was only looking for the time....
