Replying To cavanman47:  "I very much doubt Tonguey is from Cavan after Boxty-gate, but said I'd defend his/her honour regardless.

They came in their droves as our houses were cheap
Him in a beamer, her an SUV Jeep
The slagged our love of 'bogball' and anything gaah
Much preferring the pool, bayern or barca

Now fortunes have shifted as money's been gifted
Buzzin for the half dozen they say
And to top it all off, they've moved the 'kickoff'
A Saturday evening throw-in they'll play.

They'll send Mayo home to plan for next year
But a mouse will make more of a cheer
For come Sunday aft-noon, as Mayo hearts bleed
Jacks' focus will be United vs Leeds.

In Mickey We thrust
To do us just
When the ball is kicked
And the grass is licked
Cavan forever and so forth

I have a creative streak this morning, here's another one,

Cluxton is middlin,
Beggan is better,
Clarke is the greatest,
Mind that wild heifer

Ok punning in that, not a bad effort. But I don't think the Beamer and SUV are GAA, they would be more Leinster/Munster rugby. And their focus would be on the big Heineken rugby matches on, not the Premier league. And certainly not the GAA. Is mise le meas, Gford

Here is my effort, on the recent Hurling final:
LIMERICK victory in the hurling final was a thump in the back for Galway CITY.

Come on Mayo, you can win, and send the big bad blues into the Sin bin,
Come on O Shea, score a goal,
And stop the Dubs
and the 6 in a row.

He's not from Cavan he's from Leitrim. Has been on our page under numerous accounts for about 2 years now trolling.
Under this Tonguey account 1 of his first 3 posts was on the Roscommon page a day after Cavan won Ulster

I believe my poem, while mediocre, went way over your head.

Lol, why would someone from Leitrim say they are from Cavan? Keep that tin foil for the turkey and not for a hat gossan.

There was an ould lad from the pale, who's mind was as slow as a snail, kerry posters he'd mix up but he's a dub he don't give a f**k but stories of the 6 in a row he'd love to regale.

Did ye hear about the oul lad from Kerry?
His Christmas was far from Merry
The IQ was low
And the Dubs had the 6 in a row,
NO wonder he was so contrary.

There was a team from Mayo,
Who didn't undersatnd the word "No!",
So in the year 2020,
With the Dubs having plenty,
they finally did the 1-in-a-row.
