You have heard of irony?

Did they hell. 16 points down at half time. Mayo dropped intensity big time. Dublin maintained their intensity throughout. Mayo could of won that game by 20+

There are a few teams at that Jim.

Please god but I think itll be slightly closer.

Replying To if_in_doubt:  "Did anybody really expect it to be any different?

A team who beat Division 4 (after extra time) and Division 3 teams by the grand total of 4 points up against one of the best teams in the country over the last number of years.

Mayo completely switched off during the 2nd half, particularly after the water break and still strolled around controlling the ball.

Another clear example of the gap between the top teams and teams considered to be middle bracket. Also a strong argument against going back to knock out football for anyone who wants to see competitive games during the latter stages of the championship."
Most did but I backed mayo to win by 14 on an earlier thread I think.

OMG , outrage at Tipp players laying a wreath after the game. Were Mayo not invited ?
What a disgrace and the whole thing orchestrated for them. The national broadcaster accommodating them and pandering to them. This isn't what I paid my TV license for. Would this be allowed for any other county ? I think not.

Absolutely. Classless, choreographed PR stunt. As for having sponsorship on the jerseys, disgusting. :)

Lovely interview with David Power on Sky.

James Horan had a bit of a wry smile when asked about all the goal chances they gave up. It's made me wonder about what they have in store for the Dubs haha

Congrats to Mayo and Cillian Ó Connor was just awesome today. Commiserations to Tipp who fought all the way towards the end. I actually don't think Mayo s intensity fell at all as the players fighting for places so I think Tipp deserve great credit for battling all the way to the finish. Still a great year for Tipp and they can hold their heads up high. On Mayo we'll done and another final to look forward to, Congrats.

I agree they could easily have won it by 20+ but what was the point in pushing on and risking injury when it was wrapped up by half time!
Mayo were definitely trying out attacking tactics in the first half in preparation for the Dubs.
That Mayo full foward line are better than the Dub full back line!

Well, they nearly won it by 5. Goals, that is, lol

Comiserations to Tipperary.

Well done to our lads. We made things a bit more difficult in the second half so we've a lot to work on before the 19th.

Maigh Eo Abú!

Going forward, maybe. Not with that leaky defence. They'll never plug all those gaps in a fortnight and Dublin will capitalise
