I haven't said one bad word about them and I've no problem with them...there are after winning the All Ireland and they still aren't happy.
Oldtourman is still banging on about the Semi Final where the life was frightened out of them!
Actually that 50million remark came from someone down within the LK SouthBoard area."
It takes one bitter person to know another. Aithinn Ciarog, Ciarog eile.

OTM I would respectfully ask that you stop feeding this troll. You should enjoy where we are at the moment with the best Limerick team for 80 years and the best team in the country currently. This poster's only objective is to wind people up and she obviously knows less than nothing about hurling. If you dont engage she will crawl away to find someone else to annoy.

Your dead right of course, I will disengage from him right now. Happy Christmas WF, hopefully we will be back in harness in the New Year.

Here is the "million " dollar Question.......Would LK have won the All Ireland without Mr. McManus's generous help?"
Fair point lad. They'd probably only won by 5 or 6 points instead....

We in Limerick are not bitter. We have always had and continue to have and will always have utmost respect for all other counties - Galway included.

We didn't begrudge you 1980 or 1981 ....

Dont mind him, as WF so rightly said, just ignore his nonsense . His attitude is in no way reflective of that of the vast majority of Galway supporters

First half decent, second half a Limerick training session. Waterford tactics awful. Trying to run everything like they did against Kilkenny but Limerick too fit and fast to be affected by it, they kept running into Limerick cul de sacs. Then when they decided to go long they were sending high ball into forwards outnumbered 2 or 3 to 1. Limerick weren't really running the ball, they were playing 15 yard stick passes out of defence as far as midfield (because Waterford almost completely ceded that territory) and they had time to either point or pick out perfect ball into the forwards: diagonal balls bouncing in front of them to run onto, not high ball that they had to win. The physique of the Limerick players was unreal, not an ounce of body fat between the lot of them I'd say!

ballydalane good to see your name on this thread.

You make good points. Dessie Hutchinson didn't get the right ball for his style but to be fair Sean Finn was immense.

Our 20th point was one of the best team scores I've ever seen with (as you mentioned) stick passes out of defence. There was a Galway hurling final win around 87 or 88 and Conor Hayes took a 21 sending it straight to one of his forwards and a point resulted. I though our 20th was a modern day version of that - everyone finding their man, probably 5 passes instead of 1.

I think 2021 will be a very competitive championship.

Haven't had too much time to post these past few weeks. I think 2021 will be interesting. The likes of Galway and Tipp will be itching to have a cut off Limerick next year. Kilkenny are at a crossroads. Our best forwards are still the ould lads TJ and Richie, the younger forwards don't look capable of winning an All Ireland, plus we're trying to introduce the fashionable shorter game which deep down Cody doesn't buy in to.

Much of a muchness between Cork, Clare, Wexford and Waterford, they're all capable of beating each other. Will make for an interesting championship hopefully!

He's after doing his cruciate in the same knee again.. Very unfortunate for him and more than likely going to miss next year's championship.
Real pity for such an influential player.

Tadgh DeBurca's career could be in jeopardy. A pity for such a great player who walked o ff the field with a horrific injury. None of theatrics we see from some who get a scratch.

Very unfortunate for him and a huge loss to Waterford. Why is this injury happening so frequently in the modern game?

The strengthening coaches and trainers need to answer this question. To my knowledge it does not occur as much with club players or else we do not hear of it. The strength, speed and condition of the inter county players is off the charts. Look at them. The knee is a very sophisticated joint and obviously can't take the stress. You can also add hamstring injuries to the mix. They were there in my time but the numbers again is gone crazy with players consistently limping off.
