His only compass is the number of clicks he gets. His attacks on your fellas was embarrassing as was his fawning over our ones. Of course, he turned on them just as quickly. Anyway, he seems to have decided he is now some sort of leftie influencer so leave him at it. Shinners won't touch him with a barge pole because his family turned on them, so he's barking up the wrong tree :-) Again .... Brolly trying to stay relevant. His comments are too personal. His comments on Sean Cavanagh the time v Monaghan were ort and stated that Cavanagh was nt a man. Terrible punditry and nasty. His comments on Marty Morrissey Were a disgrace and now stupid comments about Lee Keegan.. Brolly is a has been and should be ignored! Awful pity that Clones was waterlogged in '93 for the Ulster final, that match should never have been played, if it was played on a normal day Donegal would have beaten them and we would never have had to endure Brolly's oul waffle all these years.

I agree that brolly is often nasty but his comments about Cavanagh were spot on.

How so, Cavanagh was a gent on and off the field and one of the best midfielders about. Hard to listen to on Sunday Game, yes but an all time great. There wouldn't be a player in Ireland who wouldn't do what he done and I'd hope any player in the same position to do likewise.

they were way over the top. he committed a cynical, non dangerous foul. all the stuff about not being a man was just rubbish. just over the top rubbish to make himself the centre of attention

I'd hope they wouldn't. Cheating is wrong.

Agreed. He knew the rules and there was no chance he'd be sent off. Hated losing, you'd want any player in your team to do the same. Brolly made a good point about the spirit of the game etc but overdid the pious song and dance act. I wish some of our own inexperienced defenders would do the same rather than watching opponents ambling goalwards unhindered.

100 per cent. Did it myself the same year in a championship quarter final to prevent a probable goal and we won the match. Got a yellow, we won the match. The reaction from Brolly and others was hilarious and he started banging on about kids and it being taught at under age level which was nonsense of course.

He committed a clear foul that was a yellow card offence at the time. That isn't cheating.

By your going all fouls are a form of cheating. Biggest cheats are the free takers who steal yards when taking frees. Now that's cheating.

Feigning injury in order to attempt to get an opponent, and fellow inter county player wrongly sent off is a yellow or black card (depending on the ref) offence if caught. Does that justify attempting it? Not in my opinion. Galway9801 (Galway) - Posts: 1942 - 04/05/2023 14:33:23 2475690 Link 0 |
Where would you class standing offside in rugby to gain advantage, inviting contact in basketball to win free throws?

That's not what is been discussed you are saying deliberately fouling an opponent which happens numerous times in every game is cheating I don't think it is or diving or feigning injury is either might be against spirit of game but cheating is unfair Brolly is a bitter man and Sunday game is better off without him Spillane and orourke jm25 (Galway) - Posts: 1457 - 04/05/2023 15:07:01 2475706 Link 0 |

Cheating too, not to be defended, or condoned, or qualified.

Ah here lad if you are going to debate something at least have some knowledge on the actual topic. You are not even up to speed on the incident we are talking about that led Brolly to his big dramatic act.

So they should only show women's rugby if they are doing well? I would be interested to know which part of it upset you the most?

I see the new Limerick rugby experience/ museum has a map of the world showing Ireland as 26 counties, so much for rugby beings 32 county sport. tireoghainabu (Tyrone) - Posts: 390 - 04/05/2023 16:03:30 2475731 Link 1 |
