Replying To Awaywin:  "Why not name names ?
What's the big secret?"
I don't think is fair on any of these young lads to be banding there names around. That's the only reason.

Was at the game quite rusty and raw they were missing a good few I'd expect to start. I thought a few of the backs were decent o halloran and o hare I think we might struggle in midfield but Armstrong seemed to steady things up out there. Forwards looked lively when the right ball went Commons, Murphy, McConnell were all dangerous at times. Look forward to see more of this team.

Meath 20s played Monaghan in a challenge on Saturday afternoon. Played well and good showing by the lads from all reports. Believe Meath won by an easy 4 points in the conceading 1-1 or 1-2 in the last 2/3 minutes. This team looks to be good and is only going to improve over the next few weeks when all injuries are recovered (hopefully!) and college football quiets down. Galway next week I think which will be interesting to see how that goes but hopefully they can keep their 100% record. Best of luck to all

Was a really poor game
Score really irrelevant as both were rolling in and out large changes at a time

Challenge game to try out lads and see lads in different positions. If you're looking for proper games you're going to these games too early in the year. Meath were still far better team all over

Good win vs a good Galway team today in Athlone on a scoreline of 2-10 to 1-9. Pitch looked poor but that's to be expected this time of year. Meath played a strong team still missing a few lads obviously but a good 70 minutes of football. Full back line of Sean O'hare, Brian O'Hallaron and Liam Kelly were all excellent I thought. Eamonn Armstrong very impressive at wing baxk, Jack Kinlough did a lot of hard work in midfield throughout. Cian Commons, Jamie Murphy snd Hughie Corcoran who came on in the second half impressed well in the forward line with Conor Duke at wing forward catching a few great kickouts and work up the wing. Overall a good performance definitely improving week in snd week out with a few lads still to come back and come into the mix. Look forward to hopefully seeing a lot more of this team

Congratulations to Ashbourne secondary school on making the all Ireland B final. I expect a few of that team to be involved with our 20's. 7 guys from Don/Ash and 1 from St Vincent's on the starting team, 7 from Fingal Ravens but we won't hold that against them when they're representing a Meath school :). Brilliant to see a Meath school going well. I'd love to see another Meath school or 2 be able to make the step up to Leinster A level alongside Navan to give us another pathway for players to play at a level above club level, I think it would help our under 20's and consequently our seniors
