Dunshaughlin and dunboyne to have a say this year"
Bang on! Getting sick of every thread on this forum coming back to this boring back and forth topic of amalgamations and how bad football apparently is in the county..start a new thread if you want to talk about it for Christ sake.

Looking forward to the 1st round and interested to see who will pull off a shock result!

Is these still the front runners for honours now that we have 2 rounds played

I'll stick with what I have, all teams can still make it through to the knockout stages. Summerhill should have gotten a wake up call. Syddan are missing a few players and if they get them back from injury then I fancy them. With Kilmainhamwood young lads might get them over the line especially in a semi final where Moynalty might be caught cold.

Am i jumping the gun putting Simonstown into this category? They have come in massively under the radar after a league relegation. I went and watched them last night and they look very strong, even off the bench they are carrying a good mix of youth and experience - Aaron Farrelly looks like a young man who could play county level football, he is a seriously tidy footballer for the North Navan men.
I think Ashbourne could beat Summerhill and blow this wide open, Tones and Dunboyne should follow suit as well as Ratoath and Skyrne. This has been one of the better championships in quite a while.
Any of the teams listed above have the ability to topple the other

I think the way Meath football is that any team in the last 8 will think they have a decent chance of winning it.

No absolutely outstanding team who look unbeatable

Slane have not played that wll in any game and yet are in the semi final, a Junior A decider between them and the Vincents looks the safe bet.

The best show in Meath football currently are the Frayne brothers. Conor scored a goal so good yesterday it's gone viral and then Eoghan scores 6 points in the 2nd half, 3 of which were magnificent scores. Its great to see a meath forward kicking scores with both feet, so hard to defend. Conor should definitely get a chance with meath under the new management team.

What are the eligibility rules for the Premier Championship? I am seeing lads who started championship for their first team still starting for their 2nd teams

As far as I'm aware, if a player starts for the first team it rules him out of premier team, if a player comes on as a substitute for the first team he's still available to the premier team, however if he starts or comes on as a substitute again for the first team then he's no longer available to the premier team

That's 100% correct
Anyone starts at Senior can't play premier - anyone who comes on twice at Senior can't play premier!
I wonder is this being watched!!!
