Your original post showed little concern for players, it focused on BF and your theory why he felt the need to go
CB had just handed him the perfect excuse if he were to loose his first game, win without the senior players and he is a hero, a loss and he can point to brokrn agreement. There is no doubt this issue has widened the divide in Meath football,.

My original post suggested his reasons for walking away might differ slightly from what he has said publicly and I stand by that.

the players or my concern for the players didn't come into it in my original post.

It's just my opinion but if he genuinely had the best interest of meath football at heart and the development of the countys young players was his big priority he would have stayed on and focused all his efforts on developing and improving the rest of his squad and if over the next few years 5 or 6 of them progress into the senior team and become established senior players I would class that as his job done.
