And then there were 6. The 2 losing provincial finalists are coming in after a loss. Everyone else is coming in after a win. Will this affect who will go further?

No. Clare and Dublin's defeats against Limerick and Kilkenny, respectively; bear no comparison with Cork and Wexford's wins over Offaly and Laois (no disrespect to the two of them).

I shouldn't think so. With the greatest respect to Offaly and laois the pace of the games were quite slow. I think we'll see different Wexford and Cork performances too. They were going about their business with one eye on next week.

Clare and Dublin have had some rest and a bit of time to shift their focus.

I'd be expecting a great contest between Clare and Wexford. There's not much between us normally. The championship record heavily favours Clare but I think we're in a pretty good place at the minute. I think if we bring our best performance for 75 odd minutes we can win it.

Dublin and Cork is a funny one. Cork looked excellent in Munster. Dublin were very poor. I'd expect a big kick from Dublin now but would very much fancy Cork either way.

Not talking about standard of hurling. Just momentum and heads being right.

I would not be one bit surprised to see Wexford make the AI Final they are well capable of it loads of good hurlers
McDonald Chin Rory O Connor serious forward

Hard to see Dublin beating Cork.. The Dubs were so poor against Kilkenny it was painful to watch. Maybe though, that will stand to them and they play with a bit of abandonment as they're being written off from all quarters. Cork to win by 6+ after a close run match.

Wexford and Clare is an interesting one. On all known form Clare should be favourites but I think Wexford have a great chance.. Clare haven't been as impressive this year as previously and I think losing Munster to us again, could mess with their heads a bit.. If Wexford play to their potential, they'll be in with a great chance.

I hope Wexford win as a sem ifinal with us would be a great occasion..

and no harm to see Cork v Kilkenny tear strips off each other in the other semi :-) (if Dublin beat Cork it will be the biggest upset since Antrim beat Offaly in an AI semi final; Dublin are way better than they showed v Kilkenny but confidence has to be low)
Wexford have a chance for sure. They have a good team, maybe over reliant on a few key men (Chin, McDonald, and ROC in the forwards) but if they are all fit in a one off game they have a chance. If Clare turn up they should win. But Wexford are in a good place right now and we dont know where the Clare heads are.

Need 20 lads to play out of their skins to make an AI final. Yet to be convinced we have that many yet, though we are definitely heading in the right direction.

If ourselves and Dublin win you will be playing Dublin. In fact whoever wins our game you will be playing the Dubs if they beat Cork.

Yes Semifinals will be Limerick vs one of Dublin Cork or Wexford and Kilkenny vs one of Clare Wexford or Cork.

As a Dubliner, my main hope for the weekend is that we can redeem ourselves after the Leinster Final collapse and show that we are better than we showed that day. Anything beyond that is bonus territory but hope we can give Cork a good game at least.

I think Cork will beat Dublin. Cork were sloppy against Offaly but I think that was down to the lay off they had (They didn't play in the last round of the Munster Round Robin). The match against Offaly will bring them on again and I think there forwards will be ruthless against Dublin. I expect Cork to score 4 goals and win by 6 or 7 points.

Clare and Wexford has the makings of the game of the year so far. Clare look a little off the boil in recent matches. Wexford have some momentum coming in but are nursing some injuries. Wexford have always been able to raise it for do or die type games but Clare showed against Waterford in particular, an ability to dig in and tough it out. I think this will be physical tight stuff. I think Clare might just see it out by a point or two

If Cork beat Dublub and if Wexford were to beat Clare ,then semifinals would be as follows: Cork v Kilkenny on 6th and Limerick v Wexford on 7th.

Shane O'Donnell is something special. Small in stature, strong as a horse, skill to burn and finishes with aplomb.

Is that the same Cork team that played Dublin ? If so they will run of scoring numbers for a limerick. This system sucks. Waterford were unlucky and were better than at least four teams that were involved in the All-Ireland series.

Hard luck Viking. It wasn't yer day but be enthusiastic about the quality of the young lads coming through. A few of them acquitted themselves very well today.

Took his goal but surely even if initially fouled 10/11 steps is too many. The red card against possibly wexfords second best player playing well ruined the match . I felt clare needed to be really pushed today to psychologically get over munster final and that ended that. Kilkenny will be a massive hurdle for clare in the semi final. I still think the doubts will linger and might be a big factor. Kilkenny are a much harder task this year with blanchfield and carey motoring away. As a limerick man I fear them the greatest with all respect.
