Pat McEneaney recieving threats in the mail post the 96 all Ireland. A fan running onto the pitch in Limerick in 2014 and needing to be restrained. An orchastrated social media campaign against Diarmiud Connolly. Coining a nickname 'Dublin Joe' about a referee just trying to do his job. Thats just a few examples"
You were asked how Mayo are different, not provide examples of Mayo complaining. Maybe have another go at answering the question?

I could run through umpteen examples of other counties complaining about referees, bias etc.

Scroll up a small bit where I linked two old threads, one is full of Galway fans complaining about the ref from last years final, the other is fans from all over complaining about choice of venues. Those were just two examples of threads full of complaining and finger pointing, and I could link way more if you wish.

So tell me again, why do you perceive Mayo to be the complainers? This forum is literally packed full of people complaining about all sorts.

1996!

I can't imagine how grim it would be to spend the guts of 30 years keeping that close an eye on the fan base of a county you don't like.

3 regular starters? Are you tslking about this years League or our regular 15 over the past few years?

Oooooh...haven't I been severely chastised by the man who thought national league games were of 60 minutes duration!!!! Still got the hump over that have you, that your lack of the most basic knowledge of GAA was so blatantly exposed! ? And you waited til after the Mayo team was named to make your comment!

So apparently Mayo are resting most of their regular starters....good on them! It means that common sense has prevailed , they are doing what every other county would do in their circumstances .....and therefore this hulabaloo about bringing forward the league final by a day in order to go all out to win a league game that has no consequences for them has been set aside. It is always a good thing when common sense prevails!

There will be no league final for division 1 next Saturday, it is fixed in the schedule and also if Galway or Kerry win today they wouldn't be available to play as they are both flying out tonight to warm weather camps. The GAA HQ will be aware of that as I'd expect they'd have had to got permission to travel for insurances etc.

Mayo want to play on Saturday cos they want to rub shoulders with Wicklow.

The great Wicklow.

What about the people who have already booked hotels in Westport & Castlebar for Saturday night and people who have booked train tickets on Sunday for the match? (Mayo v Roscommon in Castlebar)?.
Like me, Mayo and Roscommon supporters have made their bank holiday arrangements months ago. (Based around the match)
The Mayo v Galway match should be played next Sunday, full stop. Mayo rested 10 players yesterday.
I am sure there are also lots of Mayo and Galway supporters who normally work on Saturdays would also like to go to the League final next Sunday. Some Mayo supporters might even have booked flights and accommodation already as they knew they were in the final last week.

Why should it be changed to Saturday. All teams at the start of year knew the master fixtures, this shortened season is a joke at this stage

Replying To MayoDan:  "Exactly. We've seen Jack O'Connor blame the referee after losing to Donegal this year. P Joyce moans about something after every defeat, including the All Ireland final last year.

Imagine if James Horan or McStay did something similar? We'd never hear the end of it."
Tbh on your PJ comment i think you are generalising. I mean after our deserved loss to the Rossies earlier in the league campaign i don't recall PJ moaning. Yes he bemoaned what looked like a serious injury at the time to Damo Comer. After the all ireland last year his big gripe was the free 5 mins from the end involving John Daly that swung the game Kerry's way. That is not moaning but merely noting a decision that nine times out of ten would have gone to the player in possession (when two players are holding each other). PJ appears to me quite measured in his media dealings no more than McStay has been in his short tenure thus far.

The Easter parade has been switched as well so it's Sunday or never!

The arrogant request got about as much consideration as it deserved supposedly, i.e absolutely zero. Nice to see such selfish nonsense dismissed out of hand. Well done to the GAA for once

Done and dusted. Tickets on sale (going fast) with Dublin v Derry at 1.45pm and Mayo v Galway at 4.00pm. 3 attractive teams to watch. Should be a good crowd on Sunday.
