Full house , that's a lot of people especially with no minor final which would have always brought 7/8000 of the previous full houses.

Looked to be more KK fans there this year than last, maybe only outnumbered 3 to 1 instead of 4 to 1

Reading County final reports the last few mondays , dont see attendances quoted much anymore , one exception in todays paper is 5,148 at Cavan Football Final, are attendances not announced anymore or do reporters not bother putting it in their reports . Any big crowds at county finals this year ??

5,048 at the Clare hurling final, about 5.5k at tipp hurling final which was seen as disappointing, think Cork got about 11.5k, think our final was in and around 7k.

Parnell was 80,% full. I reckon 7.8,000. Not bad for televised game and doubts whether it would go ahead. Far terrace full.

Mightve been a few more. Stand looked completely full. And there was a good crowd on the open side too.

Lot of repeat winners & Teams in Finals every year in many counties cant be great for attendances , the likes of Ballygunner, St Thomas In Galway, Ballyhale Shamrocks , in Limerick final Saturday night Na Piarsaigh & Patrickswell regular enough participants , be interesting to see crowd especially when on tv, both very good clubs & well ran but wouldnt bring more than a thousand each. Depending on neutrals to bulk it up.

NAP support would be noticeably poor, was chatting to someone from Ballygunner after the game last year in Gaelic Grounds and he reckoned Ballygunner's support could have outnumbered them 3 to 1.

Some of those parishes are pretty small population wise. And you will always get neutrals at the finals. I go to quite a few myself in the county and once the weather's not biblical floods I'll go up to Kilkenny and see their final too.

That's great for the future of the games though.

Gaelic grounds quite literally looks empty watching the game on TV. Big stadium and not a single seat filled from the TV angle, not one.
No disrespect to anyone involved but it looks comical.

Still 5000 in the Mackey stand underneath the cameras at the limerick final . If you played the Dublin football final in Croke park and they were all in the lower hogan be the same look on tv . Na Piarsaigh have about 1,000 members and that's all they pull in ( worryingly for everyone else all 1,000 have probably played hurling with Limerick at some level .. lol )
7,148 at Galway hurling final today , a decent enough crowd to see St Thomas winning 6 in a row . Is the dominance of teams like St Thomas , Na Piarsaigh , Ballygunner , Thurles , Ballyhale appearing in finals year in year out leading to smaller attendances , Probably!!

Parnell close to full again. And at same time as on TV and 3/4 other grade finals.

Watch out for AJ Murphy in the sky blue, hurling people. ....

You heard it here first.

Think we had around 7k at the Wexford final too. Dominance at club level usually comes and goes. Only the 2 Shamrocks, Loughgiel and Ballyhale, have won AI club titles with 2 completely different teams. Probably nearer 3 in Ballyhales case.

Some very low attendances at many recent club fixtures , RTE sports Sunday on about the poor fare been served up between Dingle V Clonmel yesterday and saying only 1300 there , created a bit of a debate between des cahill and others in their studio.their soccer analyst Alan Cawley seemed genuinely surprised at such a small attendance but they all came to the conclusion is at any wonder so few are going with such unentertaining & cagey fare on offer .
Ulster is about the only place that gets a crowd due to far deeper interest levels even if their matchs can be tough going to watch as well outside of the last 5 minutes.
