Replying To CiarraiMick:  "As a Kerryman I dont like calling anyone the goat as the game has changes and times change.Players are fitter now than years ago. What I will say though is David Clifford is an exceptional talent and he is playing in an era imo thats harder now for forwards.Years ago it was man on man.Nowadays there are blanket defenses and David is nearly always double marked. He is a brilliant fielder ,can take on his man,is very strong and can score from near or far."
Surely it's a two sided coin in that it's also more difficult for the backs, 3 personal fouls and they're on a yellow and on a tightrope. Back in the day the likes of Paddy McCormack, Mick Lyons, Seán Doherty or even Paidí from his own county would give the likes of David some gip and get away with it. Of course Clifford (and others) get special attention but statistically I'd say forwards are scoring more than ever from play so is it more difficult for them?

Yes backs years ago got away with more robust play but plenty of backs still foul alot pulling jerseys etc qnd when a player gets a yellow they are often switched or substituted. However forwards in the past were marked man to man and not double marked with sweepers in front of them.Id argue forwards scored more from play years ago and its no coincidence that backs are scoring more now.I played in the forwards but I dont think id be able for the conjestion in todays game.

Why would you go from Kerry to Dublin to watch that? Supporters of every county are 'waiting for the final' this year, based on attendance trends.

True the real stuff won't happen until semi final.

Well played today lads. Great patience in ye're attack really showed ye're experience and even playing badly once ye forced the 4 point difference ye're quality was undeniable. You'll forgive me if I don't wish ye luck going forward. ;)

Armagh are up next for Kerry. I hope the semi finals are better than the q/finals.

Not a game for the ages today and that is being kind.

Shane was brilliant on the restarts and we had good impact off the bench which is encouraging.

I expect another arm wrestle with Armagh. Nothing will be easy but I think Kerry have a better panel of players right now and they should prevail and make the final.

Patient, lol. In reality, Kerry obviously benefitted from Derry's exertions a few days ago; notable that daylight did not appear between the teams until the final quarter, when a differences in energy levels really show up. Armagh is very average, and that Armagh team will not even win a provincial, should be no issues for Kerry in the next round I'd imagine.

Was talking to be buck from Tralee. Jack has been holding back the lads all year to be geared for the final in two weeks. With the dubs in decline for coming year, having the Cliffords and O'Se coming into their prime along with the great kerry blanket defence kerry could dominate the next 5/6 years.

Injuries caught up with us in the end. P.Casey and Nash injured along with DOD not fully fit. Will be Cork for hurling and kerry for the big ball. Two guarantess. Put at €50 double bet this morning.
