Even though Glen withdrew their appeal, the offence still happened and was not punished on the field and still Croke Park are refusing to impose any of the only actions open to them. Fools, they are making a rod for their own back. Later this year when they want to act on an unpunished offence they will be accused of bias.

I cannot understand what has happened. An appeal was lodged and acted upon by CCCC. From my experience an appeal/objection can be withdrawn by a club any time up until the decision is reached but not afterwards. The CCCC's decision should stand but this is a loophole to avoid enforcing a rule and will be welcomed by the hierarchy, Any straw.

Replying To Jack L:  "The GAA did show leadership. They did not interfere (as they could not in any case). There is a process for dealing with these issues. The CCCC could not initiate the inquiry. An objection had to be raised to initiate process.

As i have said previously there are procedures in place for dealing with these incidents.

Matches are won and lost on the pitch and not in the boardroom. Congrats to KC on thrir success. Record books will show that they are All Ireland champions for the 2022/23 season. Glen gave it a good shout and will no doubt be back.

Yes Kilmacud are AI champions and there will always be the AH BUT about that win, I dont agree matches are won or lost on the pitch, in this case a massive cock up was made by officals, but can i say Hard luck to Glen who carried themselves very well throughout Ulster and All iteland semi and final

"Give them a chance" ? The incident happened 2 weeks ago. The Glen decision to withdraw has no impact on the nature or timing of the Croke Park's decision.

Of course this decision will never be made.

Any chance of a replay of the 1982 all Ireland final? Tommy Doyle was pushed in the back twice by Seamus Darby before Darby scored the winning goal to deny Kerry the 5 in a row. Bad mistake by the Ref that day as there was a mistake in the club final by the officials. Kilmacud are the champions, move on now.

You'd get away with GBH on the field back then. A push in the back was the equivalent to a friendly handshake. I'd say a fair play award would settle it.

So it wasn't crokes fault..are they saying it's all the officials who were on juty so??where would all this have ended if glen had kept going??a replay had been decided by ccc so on what basis has all this stopped??it seems all decisions are being drip fed and no proper explanation for anything..I'll go back to a complete lack of leadership from anyone at the top,especially from the figurehead..I'm a Gaa supporter and I can't believe how bad all this looks..

So who's fault was it that there were 16 Kilmacud players on the field???
Or was it nobody's fault?
Seem it was a case of these kinda things happen let's sweep it under the carpet !

The only reasonable interpretation of that "no fault was attributed to Kilmacud Crokes" statement is that the CCCC's opinion is the fault lay with the match officials(a behind the door way of saying it).

Why did Glen lodge an objection only to withdraw it a week later (On what grounds?)

I'm sure the players did not want a replay. They realised that they had opportunities in the 60 minutes to win it and did not take them. They lost the match on the field of play (The place which matches should be decided)

Over two weeks taken over by a needless discussion. Now as i have said previously, the club season is now over, lets concentrate on the 2023 season and see what it brings us.

The matter is now closed as far as the GAA is concerned and the statement exonerating Crokes is welcome.

Crokes have had to endure their achievement tarnished by many who used the situation to have a GO at the GAA in general but Crokes in particular.

Matches have a life of their own and the Glen Crokes match was no different.
Its most small minded to be asking Crokes and officials for an apology.
People need to let the game go and move on with their lives.

Nobody set out to 'rob' or 'cheat' and for those calling Crokes cheats, really do need to have a look at themselves and question how they came to such conclusions.
Finally, I have to say that I feel for Glen, it seems to me that they were unwilling participants in the appeals process.

Those who encouraged and demanded that Glen fight their corner should ask themselves what was their agenda really.
