Replying To Viking66:  "Hope so too. Its a strong enough team on paper. Good luck to the lads. Any idea why Shine is only named on the bench for them?"
Heard from a kk friend of my he's carrying a knock and they are not risking him .Told me because you can lose all games in round robin and still come in at the quater final stage that they are trying out a few fringe players to see how they oerform in round robin games .

Could be slight injury I'm guessing, given all 4 of Wexford, Kilkenny, Dublin & Galway are at worst guaranteed a QF spot anyone with even a slight knock won't be risked in these games.

Replying To Magpie2:  "Minors got the job done with a very comfortable win. Good performance by the lads and 3 from 3 ain't bad. However it has to be said though that we were in the weaker group with a very poor Kerry team. Dublin who in truth should have beaten us and Offaly who were a long way off their side of last year.
However we are through to a semi final which will almost certainly be against the Cats or Galway.
That will obviously be a much stiffer challenge than our last three games.
Having said that, I really think we have a great chance of a leinster title this year. Those games will have brought them on in leaps and bounds.
There seems to be a lot of confidence and maturity in this group of players and hopefully they will improve further in the games to come.
Let's hope the boys go into the semi final displaying grit and determination.
From what I've seen ther are some very good players this year but now we have bigger fish to fry."
Hopefully I'm right but I don't think we can meet Galway until the final.

That's why the 3 lads are playing Senior also in the League final. Should still be a great game. And no need for hang sangwiches Pikeman it's only half an hour in the road!!!

Woeful start for the U20s, much like the Leinster Final last year. Have been much better since though (Again, much like the 2022 Leinster Final. Think we have the slight advantage of the wind this half. Kilkenny seem to be more filled out than us which isn't really a problem in the long-run IMO as long as our players have a frame to fill into.

Delighted with that win and performance by the under 20s. Quality performances all over the field . Thought Dundon, Kehoe , Darragh Carley and Conor Foley were excellent in the backs. Luke Murphy looks a quality player while Cian Byrne was very lively too. Hopefully we can push on now and win a provincial title in this grade

Anyone the starting 15 for the seniors ? I see we are 10 points down which is disappointing with only 2 weeks to
Salthill

Tipperary bet us by 20 points in a challenge match . That is a serious beating just 2 weeks before Salthill. What is going on lads?

We were generally smaller all over the pitch. But by far and away the best lad on the pitch wasn't anywhere near the biggest and that was Luke Murphy. Serious young hurler!
Overall the lads played very well after giving Kilkenny a 6 point headstart. With a few minutes to go we had turned that round to an 8 point lead before Kilkenny tacked on a few in injury time. Eoin Whelan, who had a decent game, was the cause of that injury time after seemingly colliding with Darragh Kehoe, who also had a good game. Hopefully Whelan will be OK for Parnell Park he looked fairly shook up. Dundon looked solid at Fullback. Darragh Carley had a good game after a shakey start, while the 2 Conors were solid in general also. Cian Byrne grew into the game as it went on. The forwards in general worked hard, while sometimes overplaying the ball in search of goals which isn't a criticism as such, and got alot of blocks etc in.
Much will be made of the 3 lads Kilkenny were missing, 4 if you include Shine, but at the same time I doubt we will start the same 15 should we meet again later in the year either. The game lacked the intensity that knockout brings, and I'd be pretty sure both management teams will have been keeping some things under wraps for when the Championship begins in earnest.

I'd say Tipp would've been more fired up for the game under Cahill. I'd also be assuming Egan wouldn't have risked the lads coming back from injury. Hopefully!!!!!

I see reports emerging on twitter of an incident that has no place anywhere in society causing the game to be abandoned a minute from the end. Absolutely scandalous.

Is it unusual that not 1 St. Martins player in the team, panel or extended panel? Nobody from Rathnure in team or subs as well?"
Not a peep out of Tonydoranfan after 4 wins on the bounce for our minor and u20 teams with no losses. Obviously bigger tests are to come but well done so far to Rossiter, Jacob, their management teams and all the players involved.

Are you referring to an incident in the challenge game v Tipp? Anyone sent off.

Sadly there are pea brained clowns like that one still let walk around by themselves. Should be barred from the GAA for life.

No an idiot of a Tipp "supporter" nearly caused a brawl.

Shocking result(albeit a practise match)to lose by 20 points, embarrasing. I would be very nervous about the up coming leinster championship. anyone have the team that played today? As for the indecent itself..not surprised.

It's great going for both minors and 20s so far. Please god it keeps going.

I wouldn't panic too much over the seniors today. We can judge them in 7/8 weeks time.

Nothing but praise for our u20s today.
After a woeful start the team came to life and were very much the better team for long spells during the game. Great performances from Cian Byrne Corey Byrne Dunbar, Dundon at full back, conor Foley, Luke Murphy was outstanding and could well play senior in the near future. Indeed it was a very good and well balanced team. Roll on Dublin and Galway. We have nothing to fear based on today's match.

Was at u20 match. Luke murphy was exceptional. Also thought the full back line were very good after a shaky first 5 minutes. Slow start and finish but encouraging performance. Kilkenny will be a different beast though when Drennan, Clifford and dunne return together with Harry shine who made an appearance in the second half.
As regards the seniors, I am very concerned by the result from Tipperary today. I don't know what team we had on the pitch but 2 weeks out from championship and having had a full week preparation in Portugal I would have expected far more from them.

Talking to a friend at match, this was our start team(he fairly sure)
Lawlor
Reck, Ryan, Kyle scallon
Flood, Donohue, niall murphy
Hearne, Dunbar
Joe o connor, oisin foley, R lawlor
Chin, dwyer, j o connor
He said wexford were 1 8 to no score down after 15 minutes. He said the biggest concern was we had no game plan, no intensity and players looked like they had been thrown together on the bus journey up.bemch was emptied just after half time
