The more time passes, the harder it is to take."
Have you watched last years game in Semple back again yet?

Team named. Be a great experience for the newer lads and the younger lads they will see where they need to get to as regards S and C and intensity. Hope they go well Sunday I'm really looking forward to the trip up!

Unfortunately I've watched it at least 3 times. It was the same pattern but don't think we were as good that day.

We weren't. But we lost both games, and the 2021 LSHSF, because we didn't have enough lads on the bench with any significant Senior hurling experience. Hurling is a 20-23 man sport these days, and in all 3 games we only had 17 or 18 lads who had played much Senior intercounty hurling at all.

The only games I have on the sky box that I've watched back 3 times are the 2019 LSHF and last years game in Nowlan Park; )

Is David Dunne no longer featuring on the panel? Heading to Limerick today, I just hope they bring the fight and intensity and don't give up. Hopefully with Chin leading they will do that.

With chinner and Rory playing it will undoubtedly add punch to our forwards. Dwyer, Hearne, and Charlie hopefully knocking them over the bar it should give us a decent score. However we are playing the all ireland champions and they will be very difficult opposition in their own backyard.
Looks like Shane Reck will be tasked with marking Gillane. Let's hope he can keep him quiet.
I Can see Jacko lining out up front and not in the half back line as selected.
Interesting to see Niall Murphy in the corner back position. Will he bring his club form to the seniors.?conor Foley will have a big job to do considering his tender years. The experience will be invaluable.
Kevin Foly and Dunbar if at their best can give a good supply to our front men.
Let's hope we don't bring our Clare form tomorrow and build on last week's game in Cork.
Verdict- Limerick to win by 5 points.

I hope you are right about Jacko he's not mobile enough for a modern halfback. Hopefully he grits his teeth and gets stuck in wherever he plays. Then we will see him at his best.

On the way to Limerick now! More in hope than expectation but it should be a great learning experience for the newer and younger lads on the panel!

Good luck to the lads today. We are going into the bear pit. Without more than half our team. I actually be happy to come within 6 points of them today and no injuries please. Especially to Chin or Rory

Enjoy the match today. Always great to see wexford supporters making that journey. We made it last year and although it was early in the year there was a nice bit of spice to it and good even contest. Always have huge time for wexford supporters. Very like Limerick as we were always close to the big dogs and both countys have a fabulous hurling tradition. We're just lucky currently with a v good group. Looking forward to a few match ups today and good honest tough hurling.

6 points down at halftime. Some poor puckouts leading directly to points for Limerick. And the usual couple of bad wides and balls dropped short.

Fanning just dropped another ball into his own net

Back to our usual - Chin missing frees and Fanning dropping the ball into the goal

Would have to be reasonably satisfied based on where we're at and who we're missing. That and the fact we were only playing for a bit of pride.

All eyes on Galway now and getting everyone right for it.

We need to be consistent in our commitment for 70 minutes for the whole of the round Robin. Do that and we won't be far away.

For me, James Lawlor is our first choice keeper by a distance

Also bad when Ian Carty was our top scorer from play from wingback. Dunbar and Hearne impressed the Limerick lads around me!

Forwards score just 5 points from play and according to RTÉ match report Rory O'Connor our best forward is deployed in a sweeping role. Am I missing something?

With the bodies we're down and the fact there was nothing at stake probably as good a chance as any to try it out, I'd be shocked if he's anywhere near that role in championship.

Its no surprise that carty is doing so good when he is the standout hurler with his club. Likewise why so many of our forwards are totally out of their dept because they dont stand out at all at club level.
