Replying To Stmunnsriver:  "is martin o connor away for the year?"
Yeah, he's away with work. Think it's Germany that he's based in right now.

Replying To hurlorhurley:  "Not a word about the footballers game on Saturday evening in Wexford Park. I guess that come with the territory of not progressing out of Division 4. Huge game on Saturday evening, getting off to a winning start is crucial in this competition, realistically Wexford need to win all four home games and at least one on the road to have a chance of getting into the top two.
Hard to know what to expect with only two O'Byrne Cup games under the belt, however London come into this competition completely under the radar. They took down Carlow in Dr Cullen Park in the opening round last year, so Wexford are forewarned in that regard.
Probably expect to see somewhere between 300-500 Wexford supporters at the game.
I'll go for a home win by 4-5 points. London always pick up a spanking in this competition every year but normally they are at their strongest in the opening rounds."
Think your onto the right formula try win the 4 home games and I'd say down in Waterford as away to Laois and Sligo will be a tough ask, I seen yesterday with their hurlers having to play to home games in Dungarvan the away game with Waterford is now in WIT Arena or SETU Arena these days, logistically alot more favorable than last year when we had to go to Cavan, Carrick on Shannon and London.

Well thats exactly what they were doing last night in the park, just because a 1 min video comes out on social media its hardly going to be the sum total of their match preparation!

Anyone know if the Wexford v London game is going to be streamed on Saturday.
Gaago or clubber are not showing it according to their listing.

looking forward to the game now, while a win is vital, we also need to see a few of these young lads show , i know hegarty is only a short time in charge but a hope to see some system of playing being put in place, signs that the backs have thightned up wich in all fairness they did under shane, coleman will be a loss

Is that ok! But they should of put up a short clip of the lads out train8ng on the field with that caption about preparing for the game though?

Would agree Viking. A montage of clips from pitch and gym would of been a better promotion imo. The hurler on the bike at the end is cringe worthy as surely it was previewed before post. Our main sponsor wouldn't be best pleased with the amount of former sponsors seen in the video.

Really looking forward to the game and hope John, management and players get off to a winning start.

Jeez think your really reading too much into all of it, they had an interview with Eoghan Nolan on social media from training in the park Tuesday night if it really matters that much.

Yes I listened to it. It would've been better to put that out first. I know its a thing of nothing but promotion of a game can be very important. Especially as Football is in the doldrums in the county at the minute. There were no tweets like that before the Walsh Cup game against Kilkenny.

There was literally also another video showing them working on the pitch????

This all seems a little petty really. Like omg the horror of a senior football team doing a bit of strength work and the players wearing old training tops showing an old sponsor in January, whatever next!!

No Div 3 or 4 game been shown live this weekend on any platform as far as I can see.

To the best of my knowledge, the Clubber thing was arranged by Leinster Council for Walsh Cup and O'Byrne Cup only. Probably won't apply to a national competition like the League.

GAAGO only seem to be showing one or two selected League matches each week, from the top divisions. Although strangely, for the weekend of Feb 11/12, they've gone for Kildare v Down in Div. 2A hurling rather than one of the Div. 1 matches that aren't being televised (Westmeath v Wexford, and Galway v Cork).

No disrespect to Kildare or Down, but seems an odd choice to make.

They make that decision to basically kow-tow to the hurling lobby by covering a token lower division match, yet the bottom two divisions in the league are more important given the various permutations and realistic championship aspirations, but not a hope a Division Four game would ever be shown. To be honest though, I don't think there'll be much neutrals scrambling to watch Wexford-London to be fair.

Does seem like an odd choice but to be fair Div 1 hurling has a bit of a shadow boxing feel to it, for the top 8-9 teams I'd say all they really want is not been caught in a relegation battle, all about been right for provincial round robin in April, Div 2 hurling would have more a championship feel with everyone fighting either for relegation and promotion.

Definitely likely to have more bite to it. Best bet to see games that aren't being televised would be to go to them I guess!

Team named. Bench looks strong. 7 starters from Ross District clubs. 4 from Kilanerin and 3 from Shels also. Hopefully they can get a win. Think we have to win our home games to stand any chance of going up. Good luck to all the lads selected!!!
